Ours are going into the Dis account of course!!
$1600.00 will pay for our Disneyworld hotel and passes! :mickeyjum :donald: :goofy: :sulley:
Thanks Ralph!! :thumbsup2

Our $2000 went to cover some of our trip at end of March, and other kids activities.

My husband and I bought an RRSP. I am really grateful that we live in such a great province and have an opportunity to receive $400 for free. I thought it would be fun to see how that $400 will grow until we retire!

mine's kind of boring - it helped pay my tuition....

Help us in the "have not" provinces here. Provincial rebate?

The rebate cheques are each Albertans share of the profit made on the natural gas and oil prices this year. Ralph Klein decided that each Albertan should get a piece of the pie and each citizen is getting a cheque for $400.

Happy spending! I too am jealous!

I'm going to DISNEYLAND!!! LOL...

But, we have four people... and have a gift cerficate and travel credit at WestJet, but still couldn't fathom doing WDW... Wahhh!!! How come it is working for everyone else?

Ours also went to our WDW trip planned for June/July. Kids put theirs in their savings acct, dh and mine went into the american $ acct, ready to spend in a jiff!!!

Can't wait...thanks Ralph!

:yay:

At least your rebate makes sense.

We had a bit of a rebate here in Manitoba as well (something to do with paying more than we needed to for natural gas, from my understanding). But instead of everyone getting a rebate they only gave rebates to those eligible for child tax credits and senior supplements and so forth. So for all us poor folks who actually PAY a gas bill we got nada. Regardless of whether you pay gas or not, if you qualified for one of the tax credits above you got a rebate while the rest of us paid for it. How's that for a fine how do you do.

Bottom line, I'm jealous of you Albertans.

We're using our $800 for our Disney trip in May. We just bought a house so that consumed all of our previously saved money.

We're probably using ours to help remodel the kitchen. It's something we've been planning on anyway, so this helps.

We were kind of hoping that Home Depot or someone like that would give a bonus amount for brining in your rebates, but it doesn't look like they will. (If only we needed furniture - the double your rebate at the Brick is pretty sweet!)

Has anyone found any great deals on rebate bonuses? I know the Brick is doubling one cheque on a furniture purchase of at least $2000, and Sears will give you an extra $40 in gift card amount. Shopper's is giving, I think $25 plus a $25 donation to charity. Anyone know of others? (We are still hanging onto our cheques)

I saw the sign outside the Sears store but that's the only one I know of.

We spent so much money at the Ski store with our cheques that they gave us extra discounts on top of the sale prices. Does that count?

The current Conservative government here gave everyone a $150.00 rebate cheque just before the election and won. I tried to tell everyone that they bought their vote with 'their' money, but noone got it lol. :confused3

Hopefully we will be as fortunate as you Albertians someday! (don't know if I spelled that right, if not, sorry)

Regs,

CJM

My $400.00 is going towards my next flight to Disney :). Either that or pay bills.

Oooh, I didn't know any stores were doing that. That is cool.
But we don't need $2000 worth of furniture right now.
I wish WestJet would give a deal!!

I'm not sure, but I think I saw somewhere that Rona was giving a bonus if you spent $400.
