The OP states she "let them go to the wild"
She is a word I am not allowed to state on the disboard if that is true, actually let me state what she said
Alot of you guys are mean and this is downright uncalled for. I am not lying about ANYTHING. First of all we had our Disney trip planned and paid for WAY before my mom's house caught on fire.In fact 1. it was in the newspaper and can be found online by googling my mom's address with the word fire. Secondly I stopped replying in the cat thread because I was tired of the nasty comments. I saw when the thread was taking a turn for the worst and so I didnt bother to update the situation. 2. Lastly those are not MY cats. Those are my mom's cats and I posted to get advice on what to do in the middle of the friggin night and 3. I was bashed straight from the jump for not calling animal services or spca right away 4. like I knew what the heck that was . Im not an animal person 5. I thought releasing the cats to the wild was the right thing to do and since you contuinue to be nasty towards me you know what 6. Im still not going to give an update . 7. If anyone wanted to know or sincerly cared about the situation than they would've pmed me END OF STORY. 8. Have a nice nite .
1. We don't have her mom's address, so this proves nothing.
2. I don't see where ownership, or lack thereof, has anything to do with the fact that she knew of animals suffering multiple abuses and continuously stressed that she would
not report the crime to any kind of authority.
3. She was not "bashed straight from the jump" (whatever that means). She wasn't bashed at all until post #12, after she had continuously shot down each and every piece of advice she had been NICELY offered up until that point.
4. I suppose a person living in New York with 2 children COULD be EXTREMELY sheltered, but I would have to think that at SOME point in the OPs lifetime she must have come across the concept of either animal services or the SPCA, if not both.
5. I really can't comment here without sounding like I'm hiding behind anonymity, so use your imagination.
6. To type out the atrocities knowing animal lovers would open this thread and read these horrible, not to mention specific, abuses, and then refuse to come back and say whether the cats were safe/alive/released/rescused/further abused due to the angry phone call/etc. makes her no better than the uncle. Maybe even worse than the uncle, considering she is abusing the ~5,000 people who have veiwed this thread and were unwittingly exposed to these descriptions. People who were outraged, heartbroken, disgusted and anxious to hear how the animals are doing are left wondering what happened and imagining the worst possible outcome.
7. I believe the reason for reading, replying to and following the thread is because people ARE concerned, want to know and care about the situation. There is a precedent of updating a thread asking advice once a situation has been resolved. People asked for updates on the thread. It would be silly for one person to PM for a personal update when it's obvious there are many people awaiting a response. It would seem more efficient for the OP to simply update in the thread, rather than individual PMs.
8. Sure. And consider this my snipe at OP's spelling and grammar.
I think I'm going to have to go with the troll theory on this one. That said, I'm glad there are no actual animals being abused in a non-existant, schizophrenic, bipolar uncle's apartment, but this is one of the most disgusting displays of trolling I have come across. I was debating not posting this at all, so as not to feed the troll, but I'd really like those who were disturbed and concerned to see how these things aren't adding up, and maybe set their minds at ease.
