My Dad left us this evening.

I can't find the words right now to express how grateful I am to all of you who offered prayers and words of comfort to me in the past couple of weeks.

Please continue to pray for my Mom - she is without the love of her life and the man who she spent every night with for the last 50 years before all of this happened.

I'm just numb right now...

I feel your pain and am so very sorry. There is nothing I can say that will make it any easier for you. I think watching a parent suffer, then pass, is one of God's greatest tests. It is a comfort to at least know they are no longer suffering.

Sadly, I lost my dear Dad a year ago. A big part of me died, but I know his memories will live forever in my heart. He and Mom had been together over 56 yrs., so needless to say, he was her whole life. At first she was in shock, overwhelmed, at a loss and just went thru the motions ~ but with the help of family, thru love, support, faith, she is hanging in there, getting stronger and taking it one day at a time. May God grant you, your Mom and family strength to carry on. May your Dad rest in peace.

You have my deepest condolences...we lost my FIL in January and it has been a tough road for my MIL but she is getting better and even talking about playing golf this spring (she didn't think she could go without my FIL).
