Wellll... ...I would like to come, but as we are so often told, we don't always get what we'd like.

Why did you put up that depressing picture this morning?!?!? Don't think about it being over - just think about how you are going to feel those first few minutes when you have just checked in and it is all ahead of you. That's the best feeling!

I will say that picture is cool, though, since the fogginess just adds so much to the truth of how you feel when you open the door and see that hanging there.

The great thing is that when you get back from this trip, you can start going full speed ahead on the 2009 trip with Declan's help, participation, and excitement. Lots of fun stuff to look forward to!

Declan returns today from his time at the lake with his great aunt and uncle. He did miss this backyard scene.

Very sweet pictures of the deer. We have some around here, too, but not as many as you, because we're in a pretty condensed neighborhood. Unfortunately, this area is growing so much that their places of refuge are getting smaller and smaller. About a week ago or so there was a small deer running though a yard across from us. I'm sure he was scared to death and had just accidentally gotten too far out of his safe place.

I hope Declan had a great time with the relatives and has lots of fun stories to tell you.

We're having a bad storm here right now with some killer lightning. I hope the lights don't go out.
