So DH does erewards and has racked up a ton of Hertz point for our trip to wdw in nov. He's pretty close to covering everything already.

Anyway. Does Hertz have a drop off/pick up location in WDW? We'd rent for trip down, drop off and pick up again for trip home most likely since points are for daily rentals, not weekly and we won't drive while there anyway. Yes, we are actually bus people, lol.

According to mousesavers, Hertz has a location on property at Shades of Green, and then one close to the property at Caribe Royale.

Hertz has a stand-alone facility on 192 near AKL. They'll pick you up at your WDW resort hotel and take you back after your rental.

Hertz also has numerous locations at hotels near WDW, including Hilton Bonnet Creek, Waldorf Astoria Orlando, Gaylord Palms Resort, Marriott Village, and Hyatt Grand Cypress. Many offer pick-up and drop-off service.

This is a case where Mousesavers is not a good source of current information. The Hertz location at Shades of Green has permanently closed. There are much closer Hertz locations to WDW than Caribe Royale.

You can use Hertz points for daily, weekend and weekly rentals (although beyond a week becomes cash). Point requirements are significantly higher for one way rentals, so make sure you are looking at the right point charts.

There is also a Hertz at the Courtyard by Marriott Lake Buena Vista at Vista Center. Maybe they offer a shuttle?

The shades of green terminal is closed. Alamo now runs that terminal.

Ooh, good to know about SoG. We would actually need the card for 10 days if we kept it the whole time, that's why we are doing it for 2 days down and 2 days back. We'd never get enough points to keep it the whole time by Nov. And since we are used to flying in and only using the bus, we'd just use the bus anyway, so no need to keep the car.

As long as Hertz runs shuttles to/from disney resorts at the above listed offsite resorts we are good to go.

You could just drive to the airport, return the car, then take Magical Express to your resort. Reverse the process on the way home. Been there, done that. You'll just have to explain to DME what you're doing, or if they can't handle that without a flight number....just make one up.
