Im considering joining Hertz #1 Club Gold, through a free membership link I found online. A have a few questions, before I decided to switch from National (which I have had problems with lately, along with other disers, with vehicle condition) to Hertz. First off, how efficent are the shuttles from MCO to their offsite location. Secondly, are the vehicles in good condition and are they extremly picky about dents, scratches, etc.. Finally, how efficent are their counter locations where the canopy is not available...

TYIA!

Hertz is great to deal with. The first time you will need to go to the counter to sign your paperwork.

The shuttle is always there. I never have to wait at MCO for one. At other airports they are also very quick.

Their cars are in great shape. I take a digital picture of every car in case of any problems.

We switched from National to Hertz at MCO because I found Hertz faster and the cars were in better shape. If you belong to AAA they give a good discount at Hertz.

We love Hertz. Although it often costs a few dollars more, it is well worth it to us for the convenience. Are you sure your employer doesn't have free Gold Club memberships. I found out by accident that mine does and joined through them.

Can you share your code or link? I would like to possibly join. We are looking at a one day rental while we are there and want a Mustang convertible. Seems Hertz is the best choice. Thanks.

The link is actually through the National Home Builders Association (hahb.org) At sign up, there is no special membership number that you have to give to Hertz, so it looks like it is safe option....

My only 'beef' with Hertz is that as a Five Star member, they always try and give me the super duper upgrade! ;) Seriously, they can't believe that someone doesn't want the giant car or the SUV. Had the same problem when I was Gold. (I rent from Hertz around N America several times a month)

I never have a problem with Hertz at MCO; shuttle is always there on the way to and from, cars are always good. In fact, I have never really had a Hertz car with any issues, mechanical or otherwise. At MCO, when I've asked for them to downgrade me back down to something smaller, they sometimes give me a Solana or other sporty car instead of the megaton SUV I usually find in my spot.

After a few recent disappointing National rentals, I will be back to Hertz at MCO. The higher cost is often offset by their Gold etc perks (free rental days, coupons, etc) and the service and car selection is better than what I have experienced onsite.
