Hertz Gold Plus

Got a letter & new Gold card from Hertz this week.
It says they are pleased to inform me my Hertz Gold Plus membership has been reinstated. It was suspended due to not renting for 2 years.

Anyone else had anything like this? I don't understand it as I rented in April this year. I could have understood being suspended before April as it was a while before that I last rented but strange getting it now.

I had that letter too - however I haven't rented.

Maybe they are just updating their systems??

I think they're doing something, maybe planning a relaunch. Our rental program has been updated last week with an automatic Gold enrolment yes/no box accompanied by the message "invite customer to Gold Plus Rewards. If they complete enrolment before end of this rental they will earn points on it!"

Plus this week we've seen a chunk of extra boxes appear for 'free days' and the like on the system, so i'm guessing they're getting the house in order so to speak before announcing something.... but then i'm just a lowly Downtown location, so I don't need to know these things until they happen!
