Following some recent car hire threads I have checked prices with Hertz and found that they seem to be by far the cheapest for our dates in August.

As they are off airport, but recent threads have suggested they are moving into the terminal, I sent them a quick email to see when the move was taking place.

The response that I got was that they have no information regarding a move back into the terminal and that all customers should be aware that they need to take a courtesy bus to the pick up garage.

Does anyone know where the info regarding the move came from? I'm not sure whether to go with them or stick with one that I know will be in the terminal.

The rumours were for them to move back onsite in April but no idea if its true.

We have used Hertz four out of the five times we have been to Orlando, and I have to admit that I actually find it better them being off-site as it takes the hassle out of trying to follow the route out of the airport.

TBH, it doesn't seem to add much (if any) time onto the time between airport and accommodation. Once we have cleared immigration, it has usually taken us around 45 minutes to get the bus to the Hertz depot and get to our accommodation (usually LBV area).

Thanks Guys.

Think I might go with Hertz as they are coming in so much cheaper. Also as we will only have flown from NY, rather than UK, we should be quite fresh and alert.:thumbsup2

Only problem now is the 10% Quidco cashback disappeared yesterday somewhere between me checking prices with Hertz and Alamo.:confused3 Guess I'll just have to make do with the Mastercard code (Thanks Wayne:))

Hertz are still on Rpoints who I use but only at 2.5%, they will then pricematch this http://www.topcashback.co.uk/Search/Merchants/hertz or go direct with topcashback, I prefer Rpoints myself, just not an easy site to use for new users.
I am supposed to be booking with them for August when I get around to it, hope the 10% is back by then.
