By sliding down, I mean the discount is less and less the longer you wait to order. Order this week and you save $20. Order next week and save $18. Order the next week and save $16. They do the same thing with Annual Passes. Order an AP to Hershey & Dutch Wonderland before Xmas, it is $140. Now it is $185.

If you wait more than 2/3 weeks I would say you are in the range of the Giant Food Stores discount, so I would just wait at that point. If you are 100% sure you are going before July 1, this is a good deal.

Also, IF you are going the last week in June. Folks who buy this discounted tickets often realize they won't use them by the deadline and have to unload them. So, you can get them on local Craigslists and Ebay.

Expect some heavy crowds around the 4th of July. You have a couple of options for the best tickets, and they almost all revolve around Giant Food Stores. Giant annually does two promos with Hershey. First is a Pepsi/Hershey/Giant partnership. If you buy a set number of 20 oz sodas in a given timeframe, you send in a pull-off form with all receipts and all 20 oz labels. You get one ticket per X purchased. Last year I think it was 15 per ticket. I bought 30 pepsi products from ginat at one stop, peeled all labels and sent in. Max is 2 free tickets per household. Use family and friend address if you really like Hershey and really like Pepsi. I waited for a sale, bought 30 for $30. It takes 3-6 weeks for the tickets to arrive by mail. That promo usually runs in April/May.

The next is a Kraft/Pepsi promo via Giant. They ran it in June lasy year. For one week, Giant of PA / Martins is had a free Hershey Park Promotion. Spend $40.00 in participating Kraft Products and get a FREE ticket. There is no limit how many coupons. The free ticket printed out automatically at the register with your purchase. Items to buy were common things like Kraft cheee, Maxwell House Coffee, Kraft Mayo & BBQ Sauce & Salad Dressings, Ritz Crackers, etc. I think that will run again in June.

For the above two, free tickets are good until last day park is open (but not Halloween in Park or Xmas Candylane).

Certain large groups get 40% off ticket prices. Look into that if you have a bunch of folks. Sometimes church groups and non-profit groups volunteer in teh park. Partcipants get a free day pass. Also, some locals re-sell those on Craigslist and Ebay. Be aware that some of these tickets are dated and must be used by July 1.

If you are not close enough to shop at Giant/Martin's, your best bet might be to swing into Giant on teh way in. Go to CS desk. They have the best price there.
