Hi this is the first time I am letting DD13 bring a friend for an overnight stay somewhere. We love Hershey and have stayed at the Lodge every summer fr the past 10 years. This summer though we are staying at a Marriott and won't' be getting our wonderful free passes for gardens and museum!! Since we have done them several times anyway I was looking for some different things to do.....
We arrive on a Sunday in July and plan to of course do the Chocolate world etc. and then go into the park later for preview night. However I can arrange Sunday anyway I want all day up until preview time. So any suggestions for Sunday? We are visiting my MIL in bloomsburg so we are driving from Bloom to Hershey on Sunday - so are flexible with driving. Wax Museum anywhere? Anything neat to do???

Any interest in The Indian Echo Caverns? We've gone a few times, cool to see.

We actually did do the indian caverns a few years ago and yes they were quite cool!!! Thanks for the above link on the mini golf, etc. I wish we were staying at the lodge for the free perks but the cost I can't justify this year....I am sure we will keep busy with some stuff

If any of you are history buffs, the Civil War museum in Harrisburg is pretty nice. Of course I'm a history geek who goes to Gettysburg at least twice a year, so it's definitely not for everyone.

Then of course there's Knoebel's, which is pretty close to Bloomsburg. Even if you don't want to stop and go on the rides, there's a giant pool and last I remember, they have a couple water slides as well.

There is alot of fun things to do on the way to Hershey.

The best thing I know of though is Knoebels Amusement park :)
It may be a fairly small park but it is very highly rated.

Another fun thing might be to coal mine tour in Ashland, PA.

You dont say where you are starting from.
If your from around Bloomsburg though you have maybe done both though.

Another thing to do that is not quite on the way... (about an hourish out of the way) Would be Shady Maple Smorgasbord in East Earl.
