Hershey Park hotels?

I'm glad this thread is still going! Not sure if this has been posted before. You can get discount coupons at some fast food places. There are coupons for admission to the park and some other things like the 3D show. I have a ton of them because of my website, so if anyone wants one just PM me with your address and I'd be happy to send it out to you. Each coupon is good for up to 4 people. I do also know about the discount admission when staying at the onsite resort, that's probably the best discount. Also the local supermarket sells discounted tickets, but I can't remember the name! We bought them there once, maybe a local can help me out with the name? Anyway, we have planned our next trip(we went for Springtime at the Park)for Oct for there Halloween happenings. The kids had a ball at that last year. We are seeing the Playhouse Disney live show there and will spend the day after at the park. I am trying to squeeze in a quick trip in the summer. We're dying to try out that new water area. If anyone is interested I have pictures of that area from our trip in the Spring up on my website. I also have some ride pics and a ton of other Hershey info. I also have a message board similar to this one for Hershey Park fans. Here's a link to the sites:

I think Giant does discounts.

How is the Halloween weekends? Are they packed? Are all the rides open (esp the roller coasters for DS9 and DH). We were also considering the Playhouse Disney show on Friday night, and then the park on Sat. It is a shame it doesnt open unitl 2 but we are still considering this. I just want to make sure DS9 will be satisfied, if there are no roller coasters open forget it, he is not going to sit through Playhouse Disney for DS4 if not.

DH and I went in Nov for our anniversary one year and we noticed that none of the major rides were open so I am worried about booking Halloween.

Thanks for any help.

Thanks! Giants is the name of the store!

Here's a link from my site which has a list of all the rides open during Halloween:

As you can see there are plenty and a good mix for those who love coasters, and those of us chickens like me, who like tammer rides!LOL

I have a 9 yo DD and my DS is 4 and the only way DD will sit through the Playhouse Disney show is because we told her we are going to Hershey Park the next day!!LOL We really love it and for Halloween it really isn't crowded. The kids put their costumes on and go trick a treating in the park. It is really cool. They also got really good candy of course!! Since they don't open till 2pm, we spend the morning at Chocolate World. The Spring Time at the Park is similar to the Hershey Park in the Dark with the amount of rides. Both are really fun. I didn't see it on the rides list, but the Comet was open on Halloween in the past and it was open for the Spring so it should be open too. I'm going to lok into that.

Hi BethanyF! Thanks for the compliment!!!:wave2:

Yeah that is how we were trying to sell it to DS9. Although he is usually very good about doing stuff for his baby brother, I always like to have a good balance in case he ever does whine.

I mean we convinced him it was ok to do H&V and he even got his pictures taken with all those characters because we promised as sson as it was over we would make a beeline to RNRC and TOT. Then all was good for both kids!

Since they do have roller coasters my next concern is weather. I dont want to drive 2 hours for the PH show and not go to HP.

I mean we can see 1/2 hour away when it comes to Philly in Dec but we thought this would be fun for both kids. Oh well, I will wait and see.

Another thumbs up from my family on the Country Inn and suites, clean rooms, friendly staff and a nice breakfast in the AM. Very close to the park. if you have not been to hershey before it really is almost in farm country, you will not be dealing with hustle and bustle of some more urban areas.

I have not seen anybody mention , not that anybody asked but I was a little surprised by the terain of Hershey, it is very hilly in the park itself so if you have small kids, strollers or family members that have some trouble navigating hills something to keep in mind.

Hershey is a heck of alot of fun and very reminisent of the old time amusement park.

It's nice to see the ol' thread still going! I'm glad to hear you all compare Hershey Park to WDW. We're really looking forward to spending a few days there. We're going in June, the day after the kids get out of school and staying at the Hershey Lodge.

Also, I'm really happy to hear about the water park addition! We're all gonna love that! :thumbsup2

We are tenitevly set for June 24 & 25. Two nights camping at Highmeadows. We usualy do the lodge but, we just can't swing it this year. So we are "roughing" it:hippie: When will you be going?

We're going June 13th - 15th. :woohoo: The kids are getting excited (they've never been) and so are DH and I. :goodvibes
