I think I've asked this before but the search is down and I can't remember the answer.

Can we use our DVC points at one of the Hershey hotels? I know they have the Hershey Hotel and the Hershey Lodge. I couldn't find anything on the DVC website.

Thank you! :wave2:

If you stay at a Hershey property this summer and book the package that gives you a character breakfast and early admission to the park..."Mr.Music", aka my DH, is the guitar playing childrens entertainer during breakfast.

On the DVC site its shows "The Suites at Hershey."
This is a Bluegreen resort, try finding a member and doing a direct exchange.

Does anyone know how far Hershey park is from this place?

Right next to the Outlets at Hershey, which are next tothe newest section of the park.

As has already been noted in this thread, The Suites at Hershey resort is one of the choices in the DVC World Passport Collection. See http://disney.intervalworld.com/web/cs?a=1502&areaCode=181

According to II, the Suites at Hershey resort only offers 2BR villas through II. Possible check-in days are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for a 7-night stay.

For a 2BR, the World Passport Collection Interval International chart shows:
Low Season: 144 points
Mid Season: 207 points
High Season:270 points

Also, as already noted, no hotels in Hershey are available through the DVC Concierge Collection.

Just went to Hershey last week for the first time on Monday. It was totally empty. We walked on all the rides - no lines, even the roller coasters were empty. I asked one of the operators there and they said that on weekends the lines can be two hours long but Mondays and Tuesdays its empty. And it is cheap compared to most parks.

Two days there is really all you need unless you take a drive to amish country or go to shopping outlets.

Honestly, I'm just not sure there's enough to do there to merit a seven night stay.
We did 5 days a couple years back and we ran out of things to do.

I live here and I would agree. Park admission if you buy it through the local Giant Food Stores is less than $35. It is a nice park, but I couldn't imagine spending more than a couple days there.

There are outlets next to the Suites. There is no sales tax on clothing in PA so we get a lot of out of state people who make a shopping vacation of it...

I would like to go back. When we were there they had some Christian Rock festival there and the place was mobbed.

We live in Hershey, and know of one other couple that own DVC - met them at the Italian Lodge, where we spend some time. What resort(s) do you own at? We are BCV and BWV owners.

We own BWV. I live just down the road in Leb. Co. I have seen a couple other locals on here who own, but not often.
