Here's what my Dh's topsoil bargain ended up being...

Let's just say it has a wonderful pig manure scent. A credit union is being built on old farmland near us. Well, they are selling topsoil, and my Dh surprised me with someone bringing a small load for around flowers and our little vegetable garden. The smell is not pleasant. I hope it goes away soon.

Phew!!! I read somewhere that the smelly culprits in pig manure are ammonia and butyric acid.

....that info might come in handy for Jeopardy someday.....
