My lovely, but misguided DH just told Christian's Kenyan nurse, Samuel, that Little Debbie snack cakes were named after the wife of our fourth president--Debbie Madison.:rotfl::lmao::confused:

:lmao:

Well now I have to go look that up, but it is funny.:rotfl:

ETA:

Learn something new everyday:

Thinking of what could be a good fit for the brand, O.D. arrived at the name of his 4-year-old granddaughter Debbie. Inspired by a photo of Debbie in play clothes and her favorite straw hat, he decided to use the name Little Debbie® and the image of her on the logo. Not until the first cartons were being printed did Debbie's parents, Ellsworth and Sharon McKee, discover that their daughter was the namesake of the new brand.

ETA: but there is a snack cake inspired by the former first lady:

Cakes and pastries fine enough to serve at the White House.” That is how Roy Nafziger, IBC’s founder, described his Dolly Madison® snack cakes at their introduction in 1937. Roy’s fascination with the First Lady Dolley Madison lent him the name and inspiration to create a high quality snack fit for a socialite like Madison yet affordable for everyone.

So right idea--wrong snack cake company. LOL!
