We are going to be at Disney from Aug 9 thru the 14th. Here is what I have planned. Any advice would be welcome.

Mon. Arrive and get settled, head to DTD. Be back at the Poly to watch fireworks. Early to bed

Tues up early quick breakfast and head to MK. PS at 5:15 for Aloha Show at Poly

Wed. up early quick breakfast and head back to MK. Dinner at 7 pm at Kona Cafe

Thurs up early quick breakfast and head to AK. Open after that, maybe afternoon at volcano pool, head over to MK for evening fireworks

Fri, PS at O'Hanas for Character Breakfast at 10:00 then over to MGM

Sat. breakfast and off to the airport.

Any advice on this plan. As for food, mostly grab whatever at counter service places. It's just me and 3 kids (16, 11, 8) and they are picky eaters and not big eaters either. TIA

I'm by no means an expert but it sounds very BUSY to me, but maybe that's how you want it. We have two days more than you do and are only doing 3 park days, but I want to relax somewhat on my vacation. If that's not what your interested in then you'll probably be OK

I think it looks good. Not a lot of hopping back and forth and pretty flexible sch with little ps. Spounds like you are going to have a great time.

DTD on your first day is perfect. That's what we always do. The one problem with not going to MGM until after a late breakfast on Fri is if the kids like thrill rides like RnRC & ToT you'll have a long wait. By the time you get there Fast Passes for those two may have all been given out. I would suggest doing AK after your character breakfast on Fri and hitting MGM as early as possible on Wed or Thur. If your family is into thrill rides you need to find time to go to Epcot. Test Track and Mission Space are awsome.

As for late night activities you mentioned only the fireworks at MK. IMHO, Illuminations at Epcot and Fantasmic at MGM blow away the fireworks. Make sure you see them, they are one of a kind. My suggestion is to do the MK fireworks on your last night. While the shows at Epcot and MGM are spectacular, there is no better way to end your WDW trip than seeing the fireworks over Cinderella's Castle then walking down Main Street and out of the park.

Enjoy your trip!!!

Oops, I did forget about Fantasmic. I may have to do some rethinking. Thanks for the advice and reminder!!!!
