I think I'm finally done with my planning. We will be at MK on Sept 7. Here's what I plan (assuming the weather is PERFECT :) )

1. arrive at 8:00 (MK opens at 9 AM that day)
2. the girls in my family head over to meet Rapunzel and maybe Cinderella if there's not a long line
3. the boys in my family will do SDMT (or Buzz Lightyear Ranger Spin if SDMT has a long line already)
4.thinking of trying Enchanted Tales with Belle if not a huge line
5. Winnie the Pooh ride
6. Thunder Mountain
7. it's a Small World
8. Swiss Family Tree House

We have reservations for the CP at 2:15; we'll show up at about 2:00 for that.

We also want to do MSEP and Wishes. I was thinking of maybe doing the FP for those if available. From what I've been reading it sounds like Sept. isn't very busy and if we get at the park for opening people say you can do quite a bit in the first hour or two before long lines start forming. I'm hoping this will be the case for us. Once our rides our out of the way we will enjoy the park just walking around and enjoying the scenery!

Tips I got that I plan on implementing:
- take a picture of my kids the morning of, in case we lose them! We have a 2,7,10 and 13 yr old.
-take a picture of our parking spot
-decorate our stroller to make it easier to fine
-bring cold water bottles and snacks
-bring 2 small spray bottles so should we get hot we can give ourselves a little squirt and (hopefully) that will refresh us for a few minutes :)
after MSEP head right over to find a spot for Wishes (unless we have the FP for it)

if we have extra time or lines are short we'll plan on doing:
- Haunted House
-Prince Charming Carousel
-Country Bear Show
-Barnstormer

This is a first for my family so I'm hoping it will go smoothly and there will be no rain so we can see the fireworks!

Any suggestions appreciated!

If you are getting there at Rope Drop and staying until Wishes you will be able to do WAY more then that. If it is hot I would plan to do a few shows before or after lunch. We LOVE Mickeys Philharmonics.

Is the Meet and Greets of high importance? We have never done the princesses so I have no idea on there weight time but I think you should go to Fantasy Land right t Rope drop. I also recommend the new Little mermaid ride (especially for your girls but my son loved it too). And peter pan and Its a small world are always fun. I have never seen a line for the carousel so I think you should def. be able to do that ride. And the boys would probably love Pirates of the Caribbean.

I don't think the Philharmagic will be going on that day...I'll double check

the meet and greet is "important" -major highlight for my girls. They even both have Rapunzel dresses and crowns. Thankfully they didn't care too much about seeing A&E bc it sounds like they are more difficult. I figured we'd do that meet and greet first to be SURE we got it in especially if we can't get a FP for it.

oh yes! Peter Pan is on my list too but a little lower on the ladder. I'll definitely highlight Pirates of the Carribean too! I think my boys would really like that!

Thanks for the help!

Considering the time of year you are going, I'd say you will likely be able to do much more than that also, September just isn't busy with schools in so many places just starting.
I do believe that now that Anna and Elsa are in Fairytale Hall that Cinderella and Rapunzel are together (you wait in the same line for both and get pictures with each separately), I'm not 100% on that but that was my assumption.
For a princess lover I'd definitely try to do the Ariel ride. We found it to be pretty similar to the Peter Pan ride just different scenery. Loved the Haunted Mansion. Swiss Family Treehouse is more of an extra, I wouldn't prioritize it, it's fun but kind of like Tom Sawyer Island...something I'd only do with extra time.

Another thing I noticed about your plan is the rides are all over. I found it much more efficient to do the rides we wanted to do in each land one right after the other. So for you, since the meet and greet is important maybe start with Fantasyland, work towards Liberty Square and Adventureland (CP is right by Adventureland)...and then Tomorrowland later on.

What I notice right off the bat is you are zig zagging the park a lot. That time of year I think you are going to be fine doing things as you come to them. Honestly I would think you would get a lot more done than you have listed and you are skipping some good rides. Are you only at Disney for one day?

Ok- I'll work on not zig zagging so much. Yes, we will only be there for one day. Thanks!

First of all - since you only have one day - I would remove the 'if lines aren't too long' from all the ones where it is listed. Fact is, early morning, even if the lines are getting longer...they will be the shortest of the day - so wait, even if the line is already 30 minutes for Cinderella when you're done with Repunzel. Same for the boys - tell your dh to wait at 7DMT no matter how long it is (and it won't be terribly long since you're getting there so early - just be sure they know exactly where to head). Then tell them to head to Buzz right after.

Make sure you establish a meet-up time and place (and text each other if you're going to be late) after doing all the separate girl/boy activities.

Other than that - this is how I would proceed:
Girls
Repunzel
Cinderella
(if still time before meet-up time with boys - go on Ariel under the sea)
Boys
7DMT
Buzz

Meet up together around 9:50 at a designated place (with only one day - unless it is something that will be LOVED by the girls - I would personally skip ETWB - it is time consuming).

Then:
Winnie the Pooh
Peter Pan (get FP for the 10:30 - 11:30 timeframe)
IASW
Haunted Mansion
BTMRR (Get FP for the 12:45 - 1:45 timeframe and don't forget to child swap)
Pirates of the Caribbean
Swiss Family Treehouse
LUNCH AT CP
Philharmagic (if open)
Teacups
Goofy's Barnstormer
Dumbo (Get FP for 4:30 - 5:30 timeframe OR get FP for afternoon for Splash Mtn if family would enjoy it more)
Buzz for the whole family this time

In Sept - I personally wouldn't use FP on MSEP or Wishes. Since you're eating a late lunch - I would just stake out a good spot about 50 minutes before showtime and grab everyone a snack or meal to eat while you're waiting (or throw sandwiches in the stroller and just grab them to eat and get ice cream for dessert while waiting).
