Here's my budget, please give me honest opinions, good or bad!

"Wish List" Cost to do:
1. Cinderella's Royal Table $61.00
(3 girls + Myself)
2.. Mickey's Not So Scarry Halloween Party $151.00
(all 5 of us)

Necessities for Disney
1. airfare $1,200.00
2. car rental + gas $300.00
3. groceries for week $50.00
4. food on site @ Disney/4 days $150.00
5. tolls/parking on Disney $75.00
6. Parking at home airport $70.00
7. House rental $325.00
8. Spending money $500.00
TOTAL FOR TRIP: $2,882.00

**4 day PH's already paid for by my wonderful parents!**
**The grocery bill/house rental will be split 3 ways**
**The food budget for on-site Disney, I'm planning 1 counter service meal/day/5 of us**

I would like to try & keep it to 3000.00, so please keep that in mind when you critique. If I have enough to just get to 3000.00 I would like to surprise my entire family with a Character Lunch 1 of our days at Disney - probably Crystal Palace. (THANKS Janet2k for your inspirational trip reports, you inspiried me to want to do something nice for my family!!)

TIA for your suggestions/advice!

Do you have a pet who has to be boarded while you are away? That is the one expense, while I am glad to pay it to ensure her happiness and safety, that puts my budget over the edge. $30 a day!

I'm thinking your $150 budget for counter service is just a little bit low - are you figuring $30 per meal for 5 people? Sure it can be done, but a little cushion is nice to have.

I assume souvenirs, film, tips and park snacks come under spending money? If so, then that $500 would not be enough, at least for my family of 4.

All in all, it seems reasonable to me, especially with PHP already given to you as gifts!

I think you need more money for food. If you do Crystal Palace, try and get a late seating for lunch(cheaper at lunch). We always PS for 2:30 and make it a combined lunch/dinner. It is great is if you can fit it in.

Thanks for the replies! No we don't have a pet, unless you count our 3.00 Beta (fish) if he doesn't make it the week we are gone, I'm not to worried, but we have family next door who can feed him :)

Thanks for the suggestions on food, yes I was basing 30.00/day for 1 counter service meal, off of the menu's at allears.net

And if I were to do the Crystal Palace PS, it would def. be for lunch, because it is less expensive than dinner, and this would be a treat for a total of 11 people (my sisters family - 3; my parents - 2; my grandma - 1 + my crew -5)

Thanks again for the suggestions, that is why I love these boards! ::yes::
