What would you say is the MUST GO TO restaurant at WDW? We have two daughters, 7 and 11, and already have one reservation for Akershus because of the princess characters for our trip in October. Other than that, I have no plan on where to dine. I want to make sure we don't miss out on something really fabulous.

Of course if depends on what type of food you like. We always stay at Port Orleans, because it is a boat ride to Downtown Disney. Three of our favorite places are there. Wolf Gang puck Express for a counter service, Captain Jacks for seafood(2 lobster tails) and Wolfgang Pucks Cafe. The akershus is good for the girls as my kids loved it(no large animal creatures that don't talk). But again it is up to your personal preference.

Our MUST GO is BOMA. DH was not happy the first time I booked an ADR here because he hates buffets but after that first meal, he was hooked along with the rest of the family.

I think our goal on this trip is to experience foods we're not normally used to eating. I think the BOMA restaurant will be a good choice.

chef mickey for breakfast ....we love it there....lots of selection.....but...book fast ...very popular placeprincess:

My dd (who is between the ages of your dds) LOVES Boma! So if you're looking for different food.. that's a great place. Go early to explore the resort... see the animals on the savanahs and see if there are any activities going on at the time. They have story telling outside by the fire pit which is really fun! They also have medallion rubbings where your dds (and YOU) get big paper and crayons, and do rubbings of the huge medallions on the lobby floor. It's a neat, and free, souvenier. See what time these, and more activities are going on and try to get your meal near that time.

My dd also loves the Biergarten. It's a fun place that seats you at a table with others, unless you have a big party. The atmosphere is really nice. You and your girls can get up and dance. I personally don't like this kind of food, but my dd does. Schnitzle, spaezle, and all the "zles" types of german food..lol. It is fun though.

Crystal Palace is a must for use every visit. I wouldn't call the food different, but it's usually very good, and the character interaction is great. My dd's favorite character is Pooh.. so we never miss it there.

I'm sure you'll have a great time no matter where you choose to go!

I think your girls would love:
1900 Park Fare - fantastic environment and great character interaction.
Ohana - Fantastic - they will have an amazing time plus you can go all around the Polynesian Resort.
50's Prime Time - Warn them to eat all their veggies!

Others have mentioned Boma ( alot of Disers love this place) but personally DH and I didn't find the meal very enjoyable.
Crystal Palace is very beautiful inside but the wait for the characters can be quite long, esp when the girls can see Pooh over at the other end of the room for an hour.

1900 Park Fare for dinner. :thumbsup2
This has been my DD13's favorite since she was 9yo.
She is totally in love with Prince Charming.
(And the food isn't bad either) :)

If you are looking for addition character interaction then I would say Chef Mickey, Cape May (breakfast), Crystal Palace, Liberty Tree Tavern, but if you want a more grown-up atmosphere, there is the Coral Reef where you have an aquarimun wall next to your table, Le Cellier, 50's Prime Time and Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge. All fun places.

Well, since everyone has hit pretty much my fav restuarants on the head (add in Coral Reef... sitting watching the fish is pretty cool IMHO) I'm going to say............

Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe! I love that space lizard. The food is pretty decent to, for counter serve. lots of selection!
