Here's a strange question.

We're driving down next month. We'll have our own wheelchair and lift in the car trunk, but I don't want to bother with the parking at MK. Mom HATES being strapped in on the bus. I never thought to ask if she could just walk on the bus like everyone else and take the collapsed chair on like a stroller. The drivers have just always used the lift and strapped her in.

Would that make for any sort of problem with access for other passengers? You know, so many families load up their strollers and take up the 'elderly and disabled' front seats that sit sideways.

She can roll on or walk on. Her choice. Then if she walks on, tell the driver she prefers to transfer to a seat. He will either fold it or secure it for you. Do what is easier for your Mom.
