"Here you Have" virus

We have been getting strange emails from friends the past couple weeks-they start out "Here you Have" or "Just for You" then they have a link to a "Viagra" page or something similar. I know better then to open them but I did let our friends know that they had a virus. We got an email from McAfee today saying that this worm is all over the place. Just a heads up.

It is a virus that is going around. It is a self mailer so there is a good chance the friends you got the email from have been infected so let them know.

It must be a doozy! My husband's company sent out an email to all employees on Friday warning them about this.

These viruses are great, because it is an easy way to determine who is too stupid to operate a computer. Given the massive financial damage reckless computer use can cause, there really needs to be a license you have to obtain to operate one.

I sent out one myself to our entire staff. We have the people in our enterprise who can receive a PDF via email limited to only the people we know need to get them. All the rest would have received the email with the PDF replaced with a text file letting them know it was removed so our surface of exposure was limited but we still wanted the info out there.

This happen at my job on thursday and yes some people clicked on it. The way it was sent it did look like something someone would send out with a link on it to everyone to veiw. Big Mess. It was cleared up by Friday morning

I keep getting these too from multiple friends. Luckily I have a MAC so I think I was safe when I opened the e-mail but I am concerned about other people and their property.

Our office was hit last week. Got several dozen copies of it sent to various distribution lists - what a mess.
