Another young mother cat and three kittens just showed up. I think they've been living in the huge drainage ditch next to my house. It infuriates me that people let their cats run free. They could at least spay/neuter them. The mother doesn't look like she's more that a year old. The babies look 6-8 weeks. 1 orange and 2 black babies

Last time this happened it took DH and I a couple of weeks to trap the mama and babies and find a rescue that would actually take them. They were hiding in a crosstie in my retaining wall. One rescue person told me there are so many mother cats and kittens that you'd have better luck finding a home for a roach. We were turned away by several rescues before I found someone to take them.

We put food and water out for this new kitty family they devoured it. I already have 3 indoor cats and 2 dogs so I can't keep any of them. If anyone knows of a cat rescue in Metro Atlanta that would take these kitties please PM me.

Must be 'find a home for stray cats' day. In Sunday School today, one of the middle schoolers came in and said there was a stray kitty that showed up at their home and they have several cats already and couldn't keep her. Brought the cat to church to see if any volunteers would adopt her. It worked - kitty had a home before SS was over:)

It must be that time of year. Last week was teacher work week and we found a very young kitten under the trailer my classroom is in. Lucky someone was willing to take her home and bottle feed her.

I don't think it would be a good idea for me to take them to school on the first day of class. It might be a bit distracting;)

We have many strays in our area. They are great for controling the rodent population... :thumbsup2
