What am I?? Chopped liver?

(And no Kim - we don't need a picture of chopped liver!)

How are things going Alison? Is the extermination going well? You getting enough rest?

Getting plenty of rest...bored...waiting to go home. The tent is off, I sent my "house boy" over there to make sure there are no dead creepy crawly or flying things anywhere in sight. He's also wiping down the kitchen surfaces for me, I don't do well with icky things...I almost puked playing that diaper game at the shower.

Probably will be back home within an hour. Now if I could only get the cats out from the mattress lining under the bed, they could go home too! :rotfl2:

Hope the move back in went well, Alison.

I've put my back and neck out. Had to dash to the chiropractor today. Most of my ribs and vertebrae's are now back in place...except for my neck. I have another appointment on Monday to hopefully fix the pain in the neck!

Oh....and LAST.

Well it was longer than an hour, but Yay! we're finally back. It wasn't easy...when my guy called me and told me he had mopped, swept and wiped everything down, he came over to help us take back all our boxes, bags and stuff. Three of our cats had hunkered down in the boxspring of the bed, we kept trying to get them to come out, but they wouldn't. Finally we up ended the bed and ripped the under part of the box spring and lifted the cats out.

Two were lifted out by the scruff, but one caused me to go running and finally digging her out from under the dresser. But all in all everyone is back home and now happy. Hopefully we won't need to deal with anything like this for sometime...at least 10 years...

YAY for not having to do that again for at least 10 years.

And I hope that the both of you and the cats are happy to be back in the normal home again.

What else is going on with you? How's the band?

Actually who knows if we have to do it again in 10 years...we may live in a new place within 10 years, but we'll do it before we move in! :thumbsup2

Everyone is very happy to back in the normal home. I'm so happy not to be using the air card for internet, having only 1-2 bars of signal made updates VERY slow! Only my little Sunny kitty, Pascha and Olga (FILs old cat who lived there before) were OK with the change. I think because obviously Olga used to live there, Pascha rotates between the three apartments here at home so she can roll with the changes, and Sunny used to travel with us until she started having issues with controlling her potty. She loved to go to new hotel rooms and other places, but since she has potty issues we can't take her places since we can't wash the bed sheets at the local Best Western :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

The other kids F R E A K E D out and climbed up into the bed frame and wouldn't come out. We had to tear them out of there since we didn't want to have to come back once they finally decided to come out. It seemed that they were OK around 11PM (at least last night) that it was OK to come out.

They are fine now that they are home, and I hope we can sleep in a little tomorrow, but Fran supposedly wants to get up....since I'm still up at midnight I'd like to sleep in.

Oh and I probably haven't told y'all but I've been diagnosed with some form of sleep apnea, Yay!....Sarcasm....if you couldn't tell. I have my appointment next Monday.

But hey let's talk about the band! We play at Disney this weekend (well if it doesn't rain....) For the Saturday rehearsal Jim (the current President of the board, Fran was President for 8 years before him) and I are making a "Thanksgiving" style lunch as we always provide lunch at the 3-4 hour rehearsals. See when people have to be there from 10-1 ro 10-2 we figure if we give them food they are happier to stay there that long. Originally we just brought in Subway sandwiches and cut them into lots of pieces. Then we cooked hot dogs and chili in crock pots. Then I started getting creative, we've had chinese food, baked potatoes and salad bar, lasagne, fajitas, and then Jim showed up.

I always made sure that 40 people were fed and I never spent more than $100 doing it. Well Jim offered to make lunch and he made Mac & Cheese and he spent $160 on the Cheese alone! :scared1: He also made Rotissirie chicken. I wasn't there for that lunch, but was sad that I missed it. He has done all kinds of other rehearsal lunches but this is the first one since he started that he has asked for collaboration. I think he has come back to reality.

He is making a Ham, Green Bean Salad and Yams. I am making Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Stuffing, Zucchini Casserole and someone else is bringing salad, Fran is providing bread and mayonnaise for those who want to make sandwiches.

We are going to Club 33 for dinner that night with about a dozen band menbers and then on Sunday we play at the park. Fran and I have made a reservation at Cafe Orleans for our Monte Cristo, Onion soup and Beignets...then we go home and back to reality to sign rental papers and deal with apartments.....

 Keep us updated on the sleep apnae...

Sounds like a great weekend coming up with the band.
OMG! How do you spend $160 on CHEESE??!! Where was the cheese from? It sounds like he got top end French cheese.

I've got one day of work tomorrow before my weekend starts. It's the Corporate Games this weekend and we normally represent the company I work for.....in 10 pin bowling. No, I'm NOT a good bowler..but it's all in the name of fun and I can claim some kudos with the company for representing them :rotfl2:. We bowl on Saturday. I've already told my team that we are NOT to make the finals on Sunday. We already have plans for Sunday with DS and there is no way that I want my team to do well enough to make the finals cut. :lmao:

DS is playing piano at an Art Gallery somewhere on Sunday morning. And then we need to come home and do some gardening. We have had so much rain this year that the weeds are growing an absolute treat. I need to start cleaning up for Christmas. :headache:

We have an intervention. Fran's HS friend who we have not seen in years was just taken to emergency with possible death related diabetes...Ahhhhhh

OK, so it wasn't as bad as the friend who called us made it out to be. Poor Janet is now 385 lbs, and last night she was feeling dizzy, thought she had vertigo, she wouldn't call 911 or go to the hospital, but finally a friend convinced her to go to Urgent Care. They sent her via ambulance to the hospital (where she works as a lab rat) with a blood sugar of 208 (not too bad), but she needs an EKG, Cat scan and then they will determine if she needs an MRI to figure out what is wrong with her.

The reason the intervention was needed was because she threatening to check herself out of the hospital AMA. We went up there and Fran was able to help convince her to stay there. We will go back tomorrow and check in on her...evidently she is against taking care of herself, but obviously has some serious medical issues that she is ignoring.

 Hope all loved ones and friends are well and recovering.

 My FiL has to have chemo (again) for leukemia. He was first treated about 3 years ago and has been doing really well until the last 2 months. Doctors are not happy with the latest blood results and he has to have a second round ASAP....before Christmas.

...oh dear...... and, speaking of loved ones, my MiL finally left the hospital, having had a stent put in....however, she looks like heck and this last hospital visit has really taken a toll on her.....no prayers turned away.
