YAY for not having to do that again for at least 10 years.
And I hope that the both of you and the cats are happy to be back in the normal home again.
What else is going on with you? How's the band?
Actually who knows if we have to do it again in 10 years...we may live in a new place within 10 years, but we'll do it before we move in!
Everyone is very happy to back in the normal home. I'm so happy not to be using the air card for internet, having only 1-2 bars of signal made updates VERY slow! Only my little Sunny kitty, Pascha and Olga (FILs old cat who lived there before) were OK with the change. I think because obviously Olga used to live there, Pascha rotates between the three apartments here at home so she can roll with the changes, and Sunny used to travel with us until she started having issues with controlling her potty. She loved to go to new hotel rooms and other places, but since she has potty issues we can't take her places since we can't wash the bed sheets at the local Best Western
The other kids F R E A K E D out and climbed up into the bed frame and wouldn't come out. We had to tear them out of there since we didn't want to have to come back once they finally decided to come out. It seemed that they were OK around 11PM (at least last night) that it was OK to come out.
They are fine now that they are home, and I hope we can sleep in a little tomorrow, but Fran supposedly wants to get up....since I'm still up at midnight I'd like to sleep in.
Oh and I probably haven't told y'all but I've been diagnosed with some form of sleep apnea, Yay!....Sarcasm....if you couldn't tell. I have my appointment next Monday.
But hey let's talk about the band! We play at Disney this weekend (well if it doesn't rain....) For the Saturday rehearsal Jim (the current President of the board, Fran was President for 8 years before him) and I are making a "Thanksgiving" style lunch as we always provide lunch at the 3-4 hour rehearsals. See when people have to be there from 10-1 ro 10-2 we figure if we give them food they are happier to stay there that long. Originally we just brought in Subway sandwiches and cut them into lots of pieces. Then we cooked hot dogs and chili in crock pots. Then I started getting creative, we've had chinese food, baked potatoes and salad bar, lasagne, fajitas, and then Jim showed up.
I always made sure that 40 people were fed and I never spent more than $100 doing it. Well Jim offered to make lunch and he made Mac & Cheese and he spent $160 on the Cheese alone!

He also made Rotissirie chicken. I wasn't there for that lunch, but was sad that I missed it. He has done all kinds of other rehearsal lunches but this is the first one since he started that he has asked for collaboration. I think he has come back to reality.
He is making a Ham, Green Bean Salad and Yams. I am making Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Stuffing, Zucchini Casserole and someone else is bringing salad, Fran is providing bread and mayonnaise for those who want to make sandwiches.
We are going to Club 33 for dinner that night with about a dozen band menbers and then on Sunday we play at the park. Fran and I have made a reservation at Cafe Orleans for our Monte Cristo, Onion soup and Beignets...then we go home and back to reality to sign rental papers and deal with apartments.....
