Lazy and tired. It's been windy and rainy today; perfect day for getting into bed and staying there. What about you?

All the way home....

Off to the market today. Early'ish start.
After working from home for the last 2 weeks, I'm not used this crack of dawn stuff!

Crack of Dawn for me never happens before 8AM!

Hey Alison! How are you doing?

I'm OK, 2.5 days until fumigation! Today we brought all my boxes of spices and medications/vitamins/ingestibles over to Fran's Dad's old place. We've been using it as an alternate storage location and rehearsal space, so we had to move a bunch of stuff off the bed and from around the bed. Plus we tossed the mattress topper (he passed in the bed), so we're hoping that without the mattress topper the bed is safe to sleep in for two nights. We had removed all the furniture from the LR to fit a 17 piece big band in there so we had to move a few chairs, the couch and a cat-a-thing-ium into the LR because us and our six cats will live there from M-W next week.

My feet hurt and there's still a lot more to do. We have to bring over bedding (we tossed his bedding since he died there!) pillows, still have to pack up the fridge and the last of my freezer items. Did the two other freezers last week. Tonight I make the last dinner at home for a while (Mac-n-Cheese with Keilbasa) we'll be having take out and going out for a while.

This sucks! Now I know why we have put this off for three years. When we're at "First Street" we will only have one internet connection, a wireless aircard that we will have to split so my access will be intermittent. Also we have no TV so we will be watching lots of DVDs!

Here's the bright side....NEXT weekend is our Band weekend at Disney! We have a rehearsal on Saturday morning from 10-1, there is a gal in the band who is a Club 33 member and she arranges a banquet for those who are willing to pay. We spend the day after the rehearsal in the parks, have a late dinner (around 9PM) and then get up early the next day perform in DCA at 10:30AM and everyone in the band gets Free Admission to a park. Fran and I plan on going to get a Monte Cristo at Cafe Orleans and then we'll head home. Sundays are tremedously busy at DLR, So Cal passholders are not blocked out and they all head out there in droves, so we'll just have a nice lunch and come back home.

I hope you get a nice rest and massage at some stage to make up for all the schlepping you're doing now!

Crack of dawn is 5.45 am at our place....every morning! Our cats want to go out. As we're up, we might as well get up.

Yikes! I remember when I had a day job and had to get up early, I did have to get up that early.

Our cats want to come in around that time, I let them in and fall right back asleep. We are lucky in that we don't HAVE to do anything, but if we don't fix up the apartments and get them ready to rent, we don't get money. The other way we make money is sell stuff on eBay...PITA! But that's the only way our "hoarders" house will ever become a normal house!

Thanks and I DO NOT want to go Black Friday shopping but Fran loves it...I will go with her if she wants to go only because this is the first time in many years she has had the mobility to go, before her severe disiability she would get up and go every year. For the past few I think she has been annoyed that she couldn't go on her own. I think this year she will try but if she can wake me up, I will go and assemble her scooter for her. It will be difficult!
