...and YAY! for This recipe that my DS and I have been working on:
CHEESEBURGER MEATLOAF
Ingredients
1-1/2 lbs chopped beef
5 or 6 strips bacon, chopped
1 c. breadcrumbs
2 eggs
3 T. milk
2 T. mayonnaise
1 garlic clove, chopped
1 small onion, finely minced
1-1/2 t. salt
3/4 t. pepper
2 T. ketchup
1 cup sharp cheddar (I use jalapeno cheddar to 'kick it UP a notch' !) Topping
3 T. ketchup
2 T. dijon mustard
1 T. Worcestershire sauce
1 T. brown sugar
Saute` bacon until slightly cooked (not crispy). Drain and add to meat. Add and mix remaining ingredients to meat, one at a time. Shape into a loaf and place in a shallow pan. Combine topping ingredients and spoon over loaf. Bake in pre-heated oven at 375 degrees for 50-55 minutes. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing.
"Meatloaf, smeatloaf, double-beatloaf. I hate meatloaf."
"All right, I'll get that kid to eat. Where's my screw driver and my plumber's helper? I'll open up his mouth and I'll SHOVE it in...."
Hooray for Hollyween....so that theme song of the GAY Freedom Band is Hooray for Hollywood (we play it every year in the Gay Pride Parades and have for about 30 years, well I haven't, only about 10 years for me). Sooo because our concert was right outside West Hollywood where the biggest Halloween "Carnivale" takes place in Southern California, and the concert takes place on the day before Halloween...it was a natural....
Hooray for Hollyween!
We also wore costumes for the second half of the concert after Intermission.
