Is Prime Rib something that is in vogue for Christmas food in the US? Australia is more prawns, crayfish and seafood.

I think it is, Turkey for Thanksgiving and Prime Rib or Ham for Christmas. They are both on sale the week before Christmas, I stock up each year and buy 4-5 to put in the freezer, this is my last one from 2009. I just like beef!

I guess that is where the whole Australians and "shrimp on the barbie" thing came from!

Shrimp on the barbie was started by Paul Hogan as part of that tourism thing. But Aussies are constantly using their BBQs in summer. And as it is usually hot for christmas, not many people can be bothered with the full roast thing.
Far easier to do a variety of meats, seafood and salads...

I started Epic Mickey and then got stuck very very early in the game. Had to come on line to work out where to go...:sad2:

I might go back and play it a bit later. I got a headache from the game...but maybe that was because I just had a piece of leftover plum pudding LACED with alcohol. :lmao:

Yeah, I keep getting stuck in Epic Mickey and then I eventually just wind up spraying everything with paint or thinner until I figure out where to go. I have a walkthrough bookmarked, but I'm trying to get as far as I can without it.

Yeah. I didn't think it was fair that the bit I needed to spray was over the door and out of view! But then perhaps I should have noticed the cogs BEFORE I got stuck on the spot. :rotfl:

:lmao: I think that was the same spot I got stuck in!

I bought my Wii last year at tax season :)

I can see why you wouldn't want a big roast as is it summer for Christmas, but here it was rainy and cold (well mid 50s), so a big chunk of meat with potates and hot veggies really hits the spot!

Yeah, we actually have a white Christmas this year, so the hot stuff is good. We also all fell asleep on the couch earlier :lmao:

My Wii was courtesy of the company I work for. They wanted to reward me for extra good work that I did (according to the client) and had originally planned to organise a night's accommodation somewhere. One thing led to another and it took them over 6 months before the office finally got back to me really apologetically about not having organised the night away.
By this time, it was close to Christmas, so I asked if I could get a Wii instead. :thumbsup2
