Here We Go #13 - Surely the Number Thirteen Isn't as Evil as It Seems

Triskaidekaphobia - the fear of the number 13. How many times have we heard that the number 13 is evil and be wary of Friday the 13th etc. But surely, when it comes to Disney 13 is not such a bad number, it's rather exciting if anything.

So I was posting a picture of the day this afternoon and I looked at the date on my computer and realized that it is less than a month until Disney World and I have yet to start a pre-trip report (tsk, tsk). Well hopefully, you will all enjoy reading this pre-trip report and coming along on our journey to Disney World 2012!

Details, Details, Details...OH MY!
The When: April 27th to May 6th 2012
The Where: Disney's Polynesian Resort
The Who: Myself, my Mom, and my Dad
The Why: Must there really be a why? I mean it's Disney, I think it explains itself (hehehe).

So, I've always wanted to write a trip report, but for some reason I never really got around to doing it. So I am hoping that this year I actually follow through with this and write about the trip after it happens! I think the reason is that I always feel like I have to little to say to create a huge report out of it, compared to other people. But you know what, any detail is a good one (if that makes sense...).

Let me be the first to say WELCOME to my pre-trip report! In this pre-trip report I will talk about our plans, some fun details from other trips as well as memories, some picture postings and much more. I hope that you all join me on this journey and I want to thank you for reading my PTR!!!

So it has been a few days since I made a post (or since I began my pre-trip report) and I think it is time for another update.

So we booked the trip in July/August 2011 if I remember correctly, and we booked our flight in June/July. The reason why we did this was because I noticed that when the flights first are released they are at a good price (approx. $259.00). Now when I look at the flights they are ($273.99 and $533.99). That is not the only thing we saved on, take a look at this:

- Rental Car: originally $344.00; Paid: $156.00
- Hotel: originally $5000.00 (or so); Paid: $3600.00

With the hotel, we got a bounce back discount from our trip in December 2011 (this was the first time we were able to use a bounce back!). I know the hotel price sounds a bit outrageous, but let me explain - we do go to the parks however we are not in the parks from morning to evening and so it is always nice to go back to a room that is a little bit more spacious after a 95F day. This trip is at least $500.00 cheaper than the last, it is always so exciting to save money.

My advice to you all is always look for discounts. If you are booking a rental car, continuously check the prices because they do change on a day to day basis.

There are only 17 more days until the trip, this is crazy how fast it is approaching. We still have to finalize our dining plans - we are thinking of changing a few of the reservations to different days based on our experiences on prior trips.

Sigh, so apparently there are join to be a few things closed during our trip. Oh well, but it is still sad.

3. Liberty Belle Riverboat

I mean they are not necessarily deal breakers, but they were things that we were planning on going on.

There are 9 days left until the trip.

I have to say, the single digit dance is always fun and so shocking. I cannot believe that we booked this trip 300+ days ago and now here we are with only 9 days left. So much to do, so little time.
