Brief summary up to now:
Arrived 8/1 got to MK 10:00 ish. Long wait at guest service to get to window, then for them to find my Canadian tix to activate. Apparently they aren’t in the system anymore so it takes some time to dig them up.
Long lines so we just did things in Tomorrow land that didn’t have long queues.
8/2 AK. We got there 45 min before park opening and wasn’t enough. Went straight to Pandora to FOP and it was an hour wait. Then did Safari. After headed to Everest. Front row, yay after a 45 min wait. Then…got almost to top where the Arch is and stopped. Ride broke down. Had to Evacuate. While stuck up hill. Not fun. But I did it. They sent 2 CMs to help us off row by row.
more hills and stairs than you realize going back down! Some CMs waited for us back at the station with cold water bottles and scanned our bands giving us 1 fast pass, not good for Flight of Passage
. By this time We thought we’d go to Dinosaur. Nope. Not waiting an hour to get on that! And didn’t want to waste a FP on it. Went to lunch at Flametree. We could see from there if Everest was going to run. Still wasn’t so decided to use the pass for another safari.
By this time we were ready to leave. Lines were long. And we were tired.
8/3 Epcot
love the Skyliner! Epcot doesn’t open till 11:00. Went to Future world, Soarin, Living Land, and The Seas. Mission to Mars. Test track queue was too long. And so was Spaceship Earth!!
We were hungry so daughter wanted to go to Regal Eagle for lunch. It was pretty good.
by this point my back/hip was done, so we went back to resort for pool time!
8/4 DHS
another day of yup, long queues. We got to park an hour before opening. Wasn't enough. Decided to do Slinky Dog first. Long wait. The theme of this trip. Did the Toy story rides, all 3 of them. Even Saucers was 45 min wait. Ugh. Then went to Star Tours. That was about all the rides we got on, waits were terrible. So we went to low wait attractions. Muppet vision, Mickey Shorts, and Frozen show. Nothing was under an hour, for rides. So you can expect to do 3 rides in 4 hrs.
First time in WDW not being able to ride Tower of Terror. But I’m finding the long waits standing fatiguing. Our next DHS day will prioritize Mickey’s Runaway Train first.
Dinner at Crews Cup in YC. I highly recommend the short ribs. So yummy.
Tomorrow is Blizzard Beach I hope. Looking forward to that lazy river!
