DH and DS are currently napping, so I finally have a little time to myself. The weather is beautiful. It's sunny and super warm - I didn't pack enough shorts for us! We arrived yesterday afternoon and headed over to MK around 2pm. It was CROWDED. We didn't expect anything less, so we were prepared for the madness. We met with my in-laws who have a medical pass for my BIL who has down syndrome and a heart condition. We got on Buzz Lightyear, Small World and the TTA. We planned to go on the train, but the parade had just ended and there was no way we were going to get up to the station. At that point we went to dinner at The Wave and made went back for some much needed sleep. We drove 15 hours over night and DS completely passed out on the bus ride over.

Today we went out the MK and got there around 8am. I couldn't believe that there was practically no one there! The most wait we had was 5 minutes and Dumbo, Winnie the Pooh and Peter Pan. We walked right on Pirates, the Jungle Cruise, Small World and Snow White. Around 11 the crowds were really starting to pick up and DS feel asleep, so DH and I took advantage and got our first Dole Whip (mmm...). Tonight we're headed back to MK for dinner at CRT and my MIL will take DS while DH and I hit the "big kid rides". I'll try to update daily while we're here for those who are interested in crowds, weather, etc.

Thanks for the report...so glad to hear you are having warm weather:thumbsup2 I love being at Dinsey at any time of year, but it does make it much more enjoyable when you can wear shorts and a t-shirt:) Enjoy the rest of your trip.

Thanks so much for posting ... sounds great!:thumbsup2
We're heading down on Monday for the week ... any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Have fun!

Dave

Hey! You must be stalking us! :rotfl: We had dinner at the Wave last night at 7:50pm and we also arrived at MK this morning about 8am! We met some friends so we did wait in some longer lines than we normally would have. We rode Peter Pan, Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear, Haunted Mansion, BTMRR, Splash Mountain, PoC, and Carousel of Progress. We also ate lunch, Mickey Head ice cream bars and Dole Whips! Now we're back the hotel resting and changing for our 7:30 dinner at O'hana then back to MK for Spectromagic at 10pm.

Enjoy your trip and have a wonderful time! The weather has been AMAZING!

Both my boys are out for the night, so I thought I'd do a small update. We went back to MK for dinner at CRT (which was surprisingly REALLY good). The crowds were unbelievable! Not only that, but on the bus ride over it was so crowded that I got to know my neighbors very intimately. And if ever the very nice gentlemen with 4 children in the blue polo shirt is reading this, thank you so much for kindly giving up your seat so my son and I could sit down. It's almost impossible to hold a 16 month old and stand on a moving bus!

We arrived at the park at 4:30pm and had a 5:35 reservation time. We didn't ride a thing...Small World had a 50 minute wait! After dinner we tried to get on Space Mountain, but just as we reached the front they experienced "technical difficulties" and started to send everyone out of the building. I couldn't believe how some adults acted when they had to leave! The CM's were even giving fast passes for any time the rest of the evening. It was really crazy. DH and I figure we'll just go back tomorrow and try again in the morning. Here would be the biggest advice I can give to those coming in the next couple days - be patient. Make small plans, but be as flexible as possible. The trip will be so much more enjoyable if you can relax and laugh at the people who need pole extractors!

The crowds were so heavy that we were able to in a cast member only area to make it over to the barber shop area of Main Street for Spectromagic. That was a huge highlight for me, since I'm dying to do the backlot tour. Spectromagic was great and a perfect ending to our day. We'll be heading back to MK for the morning tomorrow, have a late breakfast at Chef Mickey and spend the rest of the day at Epcot. More to come tomorrow!

You're right. MK was packed last night! We watched Wishes from the beach at the Polynesian after our dinner then headed over for the parade. We sat right across from the Confectionary.

Today we're headed to Animal Kingdom but if my family ditches me early to go back to the pool, I'll probably meet up with my cousins who will be at MK today.

Glad you're having fun!

:goodvibes Hi will be there in three days, plese tell everyone to go home.:lmao: Where are you staying?

And I see you are from Lancaster!:goodvibes
You are not missing much up here on Pa. Warm today but very windy.
Eagles play tonight at 4pm and that is about it.

To answer a few questions 1. we are staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort until tomorrow and are moving to the Contemporary in the afternoon and 2. Yeah Eagles! It's about time we get it all pulled together!!!

Ok, so we started at MK again so we could get on Mission Space since it broke down last night. We went with my in laws, so we were able to use the fast pass lane and got on pretty much right away. We rode Small World again for my son who spent the whole ride dancing and clapping his hands. He had the entire boat and the boat behind us dancing by the end! It was hysterical. At that point we left for our breakfast at Chef Mickey's which was ok. It was very crowded and we were back in the corner of a room facing the front of the Contemporary. The characters had a rough time getting in and out, but they were really sweet with my son and I got some great pics that some day I'll figure out how to post.

We took the monorail over to Epcot at that point and were immediately greeted with one of the craziest bag check lines ever. I think we stood in that line longer than most of the rides. They only had 6 lines and 3 security officers checking them! That's the worst we'd ever seen it (get ready because this is a phrase I will use a lot for today). DS fell asleep in his stroller, so we made our way to the World Showcase. We started with the Mexico ride and waited maybe 5 minutes to get on. Not bad...we made it around the world and over to Living with the Land. At that point DS woke up just in time to stand in the longest line we'd ever seen at this ride. It moved quickly, but I'd never seen it snake around that many times!

DS was squirming so we went over to Nemo (or "Momo" as he calls it) and waited around 15 minutes in line. We decided to make our way back over and get fast passes for Maelstrom and then went to Figment where we found the longest line I'd ever seen at that ride! We actually had to wait to get on! After we thought we'd ride Mexico again since DS was awake, but instead were greeted by the - you guessed it - longest line I had EVER seen there. It was out the Mexico building!!! I couldn't believe it. Needless to say we skipped that and went looking around Japan before heading back to Maelstrom.

After a long day of hopping around the park we went to Germany to get a pretzel and it happened. The back wheel on our stroller fell right off! I picked it up and snapped it back on only to have the sucker fall right back off! Of course we've just passed America and have to get all the way to the exit, passed all of the Candlelight Processional things and the increasing evening crowd. My poor husband is trying to steer a three wheel stroller, carry all the bags and navigate the crowds. I, on the other hand, carried a 30 pound child with two bulging discs in my back. I thought we'd never get there!

We decided to just see if we could leave the cursed thing at the stroller area (as a CM directed us to do) and get more information about rentals. At this point I'm in tears from the pain and am desperate just to get out of the park. The amazing and wonderful CM's at the stroller rental not only disposed of the cursed stroller, but gave us comp passes for free stroller rental for the rest of our stay. I couldn't believe! I hugged the CM and probably scared the heck out of her. Disney is by far the most magical place on earth!!

So, weather again was hot and sunny. Bring lots of sunscreen! Crowds were heavy, but Epcot is spread out a little more and that made it easier to move around until the end when the stroller broke. Then it seemed like everyone and their family had decided to decend upon Epcot. Tomorrow's plan is to spend most of the day at Animal Kingdom before dinner at O'Hana. Here's to a less eventful day tomorrow!!

Thanks so much for taking the time to post a live report - we head down on Tuesday, and it is sooooooooo good to hear what's happening there - the good, the bad and the ugly! It's getting me revved up! Have a great trip:santa:

Thank you very much for this live report.:flower3:

I am glad you were able to enjoy some rides at MK with minimal waits. I am sorry to hear of how crowded it was getting later on. I hope you have an enjoyable trip. It sounds like you are there with the right attitude.:goodvibes

I look forward to reading more of your adventures.popcorn::

I remember reading in your first post that you went to the Wave. Did you enjoy the food there? It is a fairly new restaurant and I am interested in knowing how you and your family liked or didn't like it.

Thank you-Remmy

Thanks for letting me live vicariously through your TR until my own trip! :lmao:

This confused me...Did you mean Space moutain....I know you said it was Epcot day....:confused3

Yes I did...can you tell I'm writing these at the end of our nights? What a dummy moment!

The weather at night is really comfortable. I'm always cold, so I've been taking a long sleeved shirt at night. It's so nice - my favorite weather!

I was really surprised. I didn't think I would like it there, but the chicken pot pie was really good. The atmosphere is ok. It's dim and the layout is a little funny. We had a half circle booth and they couldn't put a highchair at our table for my son. This was my only major complaint. A 16 month old that can roam free during a meal is just trouble waiting to happen. However, our whole family enjoyed the food (2 pot pies, 1 pork and 1 fish of the day). It's not on my must-do list, but I wouldn't mind going back again.
