You are staying at one of my favorite resorts. I loved the balcony too!

I think that whenever you have a crowd of people, many who are tired, hot, flustered and overwhelmed, you will see a lot of behaviors that they would not ordinarily display. It is a shame really, because it impacts you even if you try to ignore it.

I agree that in all the years we have been traveling to WDW, the CM's are the people who make our stays so nice, so to see them dealing with the rude behavior of others is difficult. My family is pretty outgoing so we try to just make up for the nastiness of a few.

I loved AKL so much, we bought DVC shares in it. One of my favorite resorts. I love to watch the giraffes. They are so much fun!

Glad you are having a good time! Hollywood is usually much better; but right now it's under major construction so half the park is closed. It will be a much different place in a year.

enjoy your little piece of paradise! Don't worry about the rude people. They are there, but don't them spoil it for you.

We love AKL. There is nothing like sitting on your balcony watching the giraffes and those crazy little red river hogs. I love watching them run around.

Glad you are having a great trip! We have also run into a few rude guests on trips, but I have to say that luckily we have encountered many more friendly people than not. Enjoy the rest of your trip!

DHS doesn't have the same atmosphere it used to have and we couldn't make a full day of it, although I could have done Star Wars over and over, the kids were left with not much to do.

Agree with you on the rude guests. That is why we tend to hang around and take our time exiting after the nighttime shows. Everyone seems to be in more of a hurry to leave than I am.

Yup, our family's favorite resort by far is AKL (we prefer Kidani).

Loved reading with a smile on my face....though I have a question...., at Hollywood studios, do you not enjoy Fastasmitic? or Star Wars fireworks?, not enjoy Frozen sing a long?, not enjoy Beauty and the beast? Tower of Terror?, Great Movie ride, I love Hollywood studios.

Aww we love AKL too! It feels like you aren't even in Florida anymore. Love it! We too experienced rude guests on our trip 2 weeks ago but luckily we weren't ON vacation with any of them and could walk away...they are unfortunately stuck with themselves LOL!

A year? Are you new?

Not at all. Been going to WDW every Year for over 20 years. But here's the thing: Too much is closed right now. WAY too much. The board is losing patience over closures and delays from the Shanghai disaster. Disney Hollywood studios being at literally 40% capacity is murder to the other gates at WDW.

If you think for one moment that the board is going to have ANY patience with delays at HS, you're out of your mind. I am pretty sure they are having to drop weekly reports on what's happening back there.

I expect it to continue at a very fast pace. it won't all open at once - but I would bet there will be new things opening every few months beginning winter or so. They will have to if they don't all want to be fired.
