Here now - Some observations

We loved the way UOR does Christmas......for us it’s perfect.

No tackiness or overkill.......

As for the Christmas music, we loved it......of course we’re all different, but it didn’t take away anything from us, and we love POE.

As for construction walls.....well, they have to be there for upgrades, didn’t phase us at all. Seuss area was fabulous and beautifully decorated with Characters wandering around continuously. I like IOA decorations too.

HRH CL is the CL that is most complained about.....it seems to be continuously oversold for such a tiny room. You shouldn’t have a bar set up in a corridor, I don’t like that at all.

We love CL at RP. Although we don’t use it for meals in the evening, the food does seem very popular.......we enjoy some wine and use it for appetisers some evenings, little salad or cheese before heading out for dinner, but RP CL is very good. It’s hard to beat though.

Maybe time for a break if you’re disillusioned. Hope the rest of your trip is enjoyable.

We're at Disney Springs tonight. Holy moly. Absolutely gorgeous. We did the Christmas Tree Trail. Wow. I'm not a fan of Disney Springs but it is beautiful.

We're at Universal now. So many beautiful Christmas trees in the shops. We were at WDW before Universal and aren't really noticing a huge difference. The wall at the entrance to Suess Landing looks like they are doing some repairs on the concrete and bridge? So silly that they've waiting until now to do that.

I totally agree with the lack of normal entrance music at Port of Entry!!!! That is our happy song!!!!

The last few years we heard the MS version of Pat APan a lot at port of entry which seemed like a great way to Christmas it up while keeping with the theme. We didn’t hear it at all this year.

Wall at the entrance to Seuss Landing is down today.

Got our Minion ornament after doing the Christmas Tree Scavenger Hunt. Sure were some beautiful trees.

I definitely remember hearing Christmas music, or at least tunes at Magic Kingdom when we went in November 2015. Haven't been to Universal when it was decorated fully so can't comment on that.

It is a cute little ornament......I enjoyed doing the hunt and would do it again. Yes, the trees were lovely.

The trees were very cool. Going home today. Aside from the opening day snafus, great time. Lines were super short even for Express. Gonna do WDW next December since we haven't been there for the holidays in probably 10 years.

As much as we love Universal, they simply aren't in Disney's league when it comes to buffets.
We haven't done a character meal at Universal, but we do love the breakfast buffet at the Kitchen at HRH and think its one of the better ones out there, even better than Disney. They have every breakfast food you can think of and its never busy.

I think I'm just Universal'd out. 4th trip this year. Definitely overkill.
This happens to us too. While we don't start getting irritated by little things, we do start to get a bit bored. We find that things don't changeover as frequently as WDW. By nature, there are also fewer things to do since its a smaller place. Because of this, we've tried to space our Universal trips out better so we appreciate it more. Once a year, at most, is plenty for us.

The Kitchen does have a great buffet. It's the character meals that really are poor at Universal. I think the best buffet I've been to at either is the Tusker House.
