Hi!

Doing this from my blackberry so let's see how it works! Pics later from the hotel.

Its Thurs am, we're at MK.

10am. Cold! 50 deg this am.
5min walk-on for Space Mtn, Buzz! Great!

Thanks, but sadly the weekend has not arrived yet. Have fun until we get there. We arrive on Saturday and leaving behind Wash. DC for a week. It's getting crowded here daily and they keep bringing in more porta potties (which number in the thousands now). Lets hope the crowds are heading here to DC instead of South. I imagine Dulles airport will be crazy crowded on Saturday morning when we fly out. Any crowds in WDW will not compare to the crowds here this coming weekend!

amazing, we'll be at MK next thursday and i love 5 min walk ons...i've been worried about the parks getting busy for the 3 days free resort promotion...this makes me feel alot better...keep posting please!!! thanks

Was it EMH this morning at the MK? I have been thinking of what to do about EMH...use them or go against the crowd.

I will be arriving tomorrow. Is it coat weather or will hoodies do??

You must be arriving on the 26th, we are checking in on the 27th and staying for 5 nights. We wanted to take advantage of the 4/3 deal but just booked last week and really wanted a 2-BR villa (traveling with DGD and DGM.) Also DW really likes the WL, so this year we are trying the WLV they had a 5 night special, it looks like buy 4 get 1 free to me. The SSR and OKW were the only one's available on the 4/3 deal and DW thought that would be to far from MK she loves the boat ride with the stroller from the WL boat launch.

Hi again, posting while waiting in line - my DW blogs too in line. Still chilly but better in the sun. I'm from Philly and often just like a hoodie but I gotta be honest, bring both. I know it will get busy this weekend, so we planned to hit MK and Epcot hard today and tomorrow. It was EMH this am but we didn't go. We are staying at Wilderness Lodge. Park closes at 8p tonight then we plan to relax at the lodge. Getting out of DC sounds like a great idea. I can't quote so easy on the blackberry so I'll try to answer questions in one big lump.

I'm sorry...did you use "50 degrees" and "cold" in the same sentence? Considering it was -24 with a -47 wind chill this morning when I came to work if it's "only" 50 degrees when we arrive in 2 weeks I think we will all be in shorts and tank tops! Ok, maybe not quite but anything above freezing will feel quite balmy to us!

Hope we have 5 minute walk-ons too but I think the Superbowl in Tampa may work against us.

We get there tomorrow night. I hope it warms up a bit. We are having a cold spell and inversion here in Boise, so I think it will seem nice and warm to us!

Ken,
Are you staying at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge? We are planning to stay for the first time in April. How is it, we will be traveling with my parents and our 2 children? I think it will be a much better experience then just the WL alone, last year we just had 2 rooms for the same size party and they couldn't give us adjoining rooms as reserved.

Tomorrow is only going to be a high of 57 and a low of 34.
I had to chuckle when read that. A "low of 34". I just looked at my 10 day forecast, and not one day is projected to get that high! Close, next week, there is talk of a 31!
Wow, I really hate winter in New England!

Thanks for posting, we'll be there next Thursday so am curious how it is.

:)

we are thinking about staying @ WL in dec. what kind of room are ya'll staying in and how is the location and view? have you been on splash mtn this morning???:rotfl:
have fun!

Wow, if I read your SIG correctly, you will be spending 7 weeks at Disney this year.. How do you do it? That would be incredible.

Sounds balmy to us too...schools and our day care are closed due to the -40 wind chill. My precious vacation days I was saving for Disney are being squandered!

For those of us arriving this weekend and staying next week the temps are supposed to rise a little bit each day after tomorrow:-) By the end of next week it will be in 70's - yea!! Only one day of rain next week predicted but maybe they are wrong!

I am having a tough time deciding what to pack. I know it is going to get cold once the sun goes down.......

Being a DVC member allows me to do this (that was an advertisement), plus I'm a USG employee with a ton of vacation time. I work 4 day week (10 hrs), so I'm off every Friday (which I combine sometimes to stretch the vacation time even longer). It's all good!

Yes I know what you mean. 50 does sound balmy doesn't it. We went in Dec and I actually liked wearing jeans and a t-shirt and even a hoodie. It was better than being too hot and sweaty. We spent more time in the parks (no heat to wipe us out) and less money on drinks.:thumbsup2
