Hi everyone! I'm at Disney now and was able to secure a late breakfast at Akershus on our Epcot day (at 10:55am). I'm excited, but we have a 11:20am fast pass for FEA and I'm wondering if we can make it. With the 15 minute buffer, we've got until 12:35pm and it is close by, but I'm not sure how long it usually takes. I would try to check in 15 minutes early too. What do you guys think?

I think you can do it if you eat fast. One thing I do with my kids at a buffet is to make them sit at the table with my husband while I fill two plates with everything they like to eat or I want them to eat. Then he gets his food and comes back, then I go up to get my food.
This works because my kids would spend forever at the buffet picking and choosing and insisting they can scoop it By My Self and the kids getting their food first helps for speed of eating the meal.
Also, I can't remember if you have to pay upfront before you go in, but if you don't pay before eating, ask for the check right away when the server comes to greet you.

Iirc The princess breakfast is served family style. It might take some time to see the princesses. Definitely ask and pay when you are seated.

Akershus is not a buffet.
At breakfast there is an "appetizer buffet" with fruit, cheeses, pastry etc. Breakfast is served family style.
Lunch and dinner are ordered a la carte from a menu after the salads and meats and cheeses of the "appetizer buffet".
We were seated past our ADR time and the princesses were not circulating. We had to wait for them.
I would wonder if I wanted to pay that much for a princess meal only to rush through.

I would pick which one is most important for you to do.

Character meals are expensive and IMO you should take your time, eat well, and make sure your character meets are not rushed. It's an expensive breakfast and you're paying for that experience. I wouldn't want to rush my breakfast so I can make it to a ride. If Frozen is more important to you, I'd skip Akershus. You can meet all those princesses throughout the different parks.

If Akershus is more important then maybe you try and get a rope drop Frozen ride in or possibly something closer to closing time at the park.

I admit it has been a couple years, but our akershus breakfast had a platter of eggs and sausages brought to the table, and also had a large buffet selection with fruits, yogurt, cheeses, smoked fish and meats.

Yes, you are absolutely correct. I described the "appetizer buffet" of fruits, yogurts, cheeses, meats etc followed by a "family style" entre which is the platter of eggs etc brought to the table for breakfast. We described the same thing :-)

I would not do this. I would choose which is more important and go with that option. Akershus is pricey, and if it runs behind you will be stressed. I dont pay that much money to rush through a meal so I can be someplace else.
