Here Now...Parks are GREAT!!

This is our first trip in September and we just can't get over how absolutely empty the parks are. I know that there's been lots of rain here the past few weeks, but we've had perfect weather ever since we arrived on Tuesday.

So far we've done MK, AK and the World Showcase and we've been on pretty much every ride....and so far we waited 10 minutes on Kali River Rapids. Every other ride has been a walk-on. I did see a 20 minute wait for Peter Pan at about noon on Wednesday. It's just been amazing. To walk on splash, buzz, space....amazing!

It's great to just be able to walk up to the curb at 2:55 and see the parade with no problem at all. Same thing with Illuminations last night, the WS was absolutely empty.

Also, we've found the transportation at WL to be awesome. We haven't had to wait more than a few minutes on any given day for a bus or a boat.

My husband just keeps saying..."this is my new favorite time to come to WDW!!"

Just wanted to drop a note to let those know who are coming down soon what the parks look like...

If anyone has any questions I'd be happy to answer....



Today we head over to MGM and move over to the BWV.

Glad you are having a fab time. We are coming out in 8 days. I really pray that the parks are as quiet then, we are bringing friends out for the first time and it would be so fabulous not to have to queue too long for things, I want to get as much as possible done, so we can spend some time doing things we have not done before. If you find anything else out I would love to know. Have they posted start times for philharmonic. Enjoy the rest of your holiday

I am leaving in just a few days, and I was really concerned about how the crowds are going to be too...My only reservation is that we are going to US/IOA first, but we will be to WDW on Sunday September 28th...so I hope the luck with the slow crowds lasts until then!!! I hope everyone great weather and a great trip too!!

Great news about the crowds! I am so jealous...I still have 6 days until we leave! I am wondering ....Just how hot is it? I heard very muggy.

No, the WL did not seem overly busy at all. We had no trouble on Thursday getting two pool-side lounge chairs at 4pm.

As for the weather...yesterday it did get much more humid, but we have still had no rain since Tuesday. Today there's a 30 percent chance of afternoon showers....so we shall see.

We did MGM yesterday and it did feel a bit more crowded then MK and AK on previous days. 30 minute wait for ToT, but they were only running one side....rehabbing the other side. The only other wait was for the Great Movie Ride...which is weird because I haven't waited for that ride in years. Then we realized that they weren't running the second tram thing and so that explained that. RnRR was a 5-10 minute wait all day. We walked into Fantasmic and got seated at 7:45. The show was full, but people walked in at 8:05 and got seats. Oh, and we also walked up to the Prime-Time at 1:00pm and were seated within 5 minutes without a ressie.

Check-in at BWV yesterday at 4:15 pm was quick. No one in the check-in line. We got a 5th floor studio which is just okay IMHO. I don't like the fact that the balcony is a half wall and not an open rail. It really limits the view of the Boardwalk. We're only here for two nights and so it's not the end of the world, but if we were here for more than a couple of days I would have asked for another room...even a pool view. Also had to call housekeeping for additional plastic forks,knives and spoons as they only gave us a couple of knives. They were quick to bring what we requested though.

And that's pretty much it from here. We're headed over to Future World today....our last full day in the World.

My husband and I are DVC members and will be at the BWV in a couple of days. Our 23 year old son is coming along as well. We will only be there for a short visit and I am sooo hoping that the weather will hold out,especially since we wanted to visit Typhoon Lagoon on our first day. We're taking a red eye flight from the west coast and will be arriving well before our room will be available.In the meantime I am having a hard time focusing on the things in front of me that need to get done!!!! Hope the rest of your trip goes well!!

Thank you so much for the encouraging information....we're leaving at 6:00 a.m. Thursday! We went last year at this same time and could not believe how empty it was......we're used to going in the summer.

Thanks for the live update! Very cool! I hope the crowds stay away over the next two weeks or so- so far the two times I have visited the world it has been quite uncrowded & I love it that way!

We had the same experience last week when we were there. Crowds were low and the transportation at WL was great. We only waited a few minutes for a boat or bus. September is a great time to go! Enjoy the rest of your trip!!
