Here now odds and ends

We are here this week and had just a couple if observations and questions:

Our resort is ASMusic (first time at this resort). When we arrived and stepped off the DME bus we were greeted by a CM by name and she said she had our park tickets and information, and hoped we had a magical trip. This was outside the building and not at the desk. We had completed on-line checkin. How the heck did she know it was us as many others got off the bus along with us?

The performance of Fantasmic was interrupted tonight due to tech problems. It was resumed but at the end the characters were on "stage" with Mickey rather than on the riverboat. Granted we have not been to the show for our last few trips, so has the boat been removed or do you think this was due to the tech issue

One last thing I overheard in Epcot this morning. We were near Spacehip Earth and a man, young son and wife were close by. As we walked by I heard him say "I am SO mad! I thought you could go up in the giant bubble!!" It never ceases the folks who come to Disney and do almost no homework or planning, then go home and will complain that their trip was less than magical.

Ugh! Really? I never saw this on any refurb list. I know very tiny on the grand scheme but I am actually disappointed about this. Well atleast thanks for being here and posting that so I could be aware beforehand.

OP, I have also read about being greeted by CMs by name upon arrival and have wondered the same exact thing! Super nice and great customer service but sorta creepy.

Oh, phooey. Seeing the Steamboat is one of my favorite parts of the show! I'm all for a refurb if it's keeping the boat safe for the CM's, though.
