Let's just say I try to go with the flow and take it as I go when we are on vacation.

We are in the Springs section of Saratoga which is awesome. We boarded a DTD/Typhoon Lagoon bus this morning around 10:45. We made the usual stops in the resort and then two stops at DTD. The driver then completely passed Typhoon Lagoon which is where we were going. Which is why I can't let it go. When we arrived back at the resort I asked the driver why he didn't stop at TL. He proceeded to insist that he was never going there and he was going to AK. I reminded him we had been on his bus since the Springs at Saratoga. He continued to argue with me and told me to get off the bus and wait for a DTD/TL bus. At this point we had been on the bus almost an hour. He flagged down a bus that was in front of us and we had to get on again. When it was all said and done, we were at Typhoon Lagoon over an hour after we boarded the first bus.:headache:

I was ready to forget going, but my kids were ready to go to TL so we went anyway. What would you say or do at this point?? Yes, I do have his bus number.

Thanks for letting me get it out. I know there are worse things that can happen.

Oh there were people waiting at DTD to get to the parks. He encouraged them to get on the bus and he would drop them off so they could catch a park bus there. They got off at the Grandstand and waited for a park bus. No, they were not staying on property.

I am sorry that happened to you and your family.

I would definitely talk with someone (concierge). Try to remember the time as well as the bus number as they can properly identify the bus driver. Disney will make it right.

At the bus stop, there is a phone in a plastic box - that will allow you to get a hold of the transportation dept.

You can do two things:

1) Contact someone. Send an email to the member satisfaction team (I think the email is: DVCmembersatisfactionteam@disneyvacationclub.com) and relate your story and the bus number. You could also attempt to tell a manager at the resort about the issue.

2) Once you vent to the authorities, relax and enjoy the rest of your vacation. :cool1: Bad things happen and things go wrong sometimes. It is possible the bus sign didn't change at the correct time or the driver was told not to go there but failed to let the passengers know.

For the remainder of the trip, you could ask the drivers if they are going to the advertised destination. This would be quick and easy for you and the new drivers.

Have a great time!

P.S. I agree about the driver offering the use of the SSR buses for the general public. Although not an issue in itself, if repeated many times each day then it could pose an economic issue. However, I doubt the drivers even realize who pays for the bus service to SSR and OKW.

This is a big mistake. All the DTD buses go to TL. That's the pattern. So if he went to DTD, he should have continued on to TL. I bet he forgot and then when you called him on it, he covered with a bad excuse.

And they should not be transporting non-resort guests from DTD to SSR to go to the parks.

We were at OKW last week. My son just told me that he got on the DTD/TL bus at OKW once and it went to TL first, then over to the Marketplace. My son wanted to go to the Westside and he had to ask the driver if he was going to go over to the Westside of DTD.

All DTD/TL buses go to DTD-Marketplace, DTD-Westside, TL and back to the resort. That is the pattern. Report the bus and driver. He was wrong.

I appreciate your input and support. After we arrived back from TL I typed here and then went to the front desk. There were two managers that I related the story to. Sadly, this isn't the first time they have heard this this week. :confused3

I felt bad being a "complainer," but it needed to be addressed.

Now what do I do about my next door neighbor who just puts their trash outside their door and leaves it there? Gross!!:headache:

If you have any Post It Notes or paper/tape I would leave an anonymous note on their door stating where the nearest trash room is.

Make sure you let the Member Satisfaction Team know. They can relay the info to the transportation group. Both the route and the volunteering of bus services should be mentioned.

Thanks for posting!

I think they will probably know it is us. Their trash keeps getting pushed in front of our door. I just push it back. It's disrespectful and gross. The nearest trash room is only half a hall away.
