DH and I decided to go against the grain and hit MK today despite the marathon traffic, EMHs, and the fact that "the big 3" all had it as a park to avoid.

Got here 20 mins before RD. in the past 2.5 hours we have done:

Space Mtn
Buzz Lightyear
Dumbo
Barnstormer
WDW railroad
Big Thunder
Haunted Mansion
Small World
Peter Pan
Philharmagic

Not bad if I say so myself

Very Nice!
All of us Pres week people are home now, crowds should be low all week!
There weren't any BTGs last week either, just a few school groups and one or two small groups from Argentina I think....

Awesome! We leave in 48 hours, and I'm in bed with a tummy bug. This is the best news all day!!!

Some friends of mine went to AK today, and they said they did the safari and rode expedition everest three times by 11:00am. We are flying down to meet them tomorrow. Hopefully, the crowds stay low for the rest of the week.

My brother is there now and was super excited to get his DS signed up for JTA first show and get FPs for TSMM all by 9:05!

I was at MK too and was pleasantly surprised with the crowds!

48 hours out myself. Thanks for the update! Good news as is todays 10 day forecast which shows temps in upper 60's to low 70's with plenty of Sunshine and low percent chance of rain most days. :goodvibes

Good to hear your getting a lot done in the early part of the day. Look forward to what your thoughts are in the Afternoons and early evenings. I am on the road there in four days.

Eh, TouringPlans actually recommends Magic Kingdom today if you look at their site. They may have just changed that yesterday though. easywdw notes, among other things, "While the morning will be an excellent time to tour, we’re looking at significantly heavier crowds than recommended days from 11am through 10pm."

Big Thunder: 50
Buzz: 30
Dumbo :35
Enchanted Tales: 60
Haunted Mansion: 30
small world: 25
Pan: 40
Pirates: 20
Space: 50
Pooh:40
Speedway: 35
Mermaid: 60

right at 4:30pm according to My Disney Experience.

So it sounds like you experienced exactly what "2 of the big 3" predicted. Crowds would have been particularly light in the morning with the marathon cutting traffic and few of the runners getting out to a park before noon.

Here are my experiences from today:

ETWB waited 30 minutes at 10am

VOTLM was 20 minutes (posted) at 10:45 but we used a FP

Dumbo was 15 minutes at 11:00

Big Thunder was 10 minutes at 11:30

Pirates was 5 minutes at noon-ish

Crowds picked up to the 20-30 minute wait times after 12:30 or so.

We are headed back right now for Wishes and evening EMH. I will let you all know how it goes.

The bus isn't too crowded coming from Pop, so I am hoping it is a positive indicator.
