We arrived Sat the 15th and are staying thru to the 29th and I am really suprised by how light the crowds are. I know spring break is more spread out this year but I never expected it to be this light. I am at POFQ now and along my hallway about half the rooms are empty. The local news is reporting that travel is way down and even the expected international travelrs are lighter then predicted. Anyone else here now seeing the same thing?

We arrive Wed and I've been very worried about the crowd levels. This sounds like great news! Would love to hear more. How are the parks?

I would really like to hear more about the crowds and touring conditions at the parks. If you have a quick minute please update us. Thanks!!

We were at HS today and it wasn't bad. 10 minutes at GMR and 5 minutes at BLT. We got fastpasses for TOT but the wait was 60 minutes. The busiest I saw it was during the new block party bash. I have to say i wasn't that impressed with it. I liked the old parade much better. POFQ is still pretty quiet. I figure any morning I can get up and have breakfast without much of a wait and no wait for a table is a good morning in WDW. We are going to EPCOT tonight and I will let you know how it is. DH and DS went to MK extra magic hours last night from midnight to 3AM and lopped everything with no waits at all. THe weather has also been beautiful. 70's and 80's since we got here with one day of rain which was light and very managable. I really think the spread out Spring Breaks are helping with the crowds.

Any more updates? Other posters are reporting the opposite. Everyone's perception of crowded is so different.

With the economic downturn, I t hink we can expect to see wayyyyy lighter crowds this year than last at WDW. We'd go every year due to my receiving a bonus at work. Guess what??? Bad economy=no bonus! No WDW trip! Even with the upcoming economic stimulus checks coming, you can still count on travel being way down for the next 8-10 months at least. A lot of people used to take refinance money and spend it on big-ticket trips, an refinancing is down. I know it would be a GREAT time to go this year to WDW, but without my usual 4-5k bonus, we just can't swing it and I don't do credit cards.:sad1:
