i was feeling a little extra tired yesterday with an occasional throat tickle. Woke up last night with a full respiratory illness so bad I can hardly breath.

Will they let me cancel my ADRs without penalty?
I
Is there anything I can do from the resort to help myself? I took some Motrin and drank some water and sat in the steamy bathroom last night until I could go back to sleep. What more can I do from here. I wish I was home.

I am supposed to fly home tomorrow, is being very sick going to be a problem?

Does anyone want my FoP FP's for tomorrow at 9:50 am? I'm about to release them.

Have someone from your family go to the front desk and they can arrange a doctor to come to you or to take you to a doctor. Or you can call front desk but as soon as someone answers let them know you need to talk to someone who is actually we working at your resort. Hope you feel better soon.

That stinks. I'm sorry. If it was me, I would add a night on and try to get a bit better before flying back in that condition.

Hope you feel better soon!

DD got a cold on the trip in August. We got Tylenol extra strength from the hotel gift shop. Most medicines available are for kids. DD braved it for two days then needed to sleep in.

For ADRs, you can try to modify online to a later date then cancel if you are within the penalty period or call to cancel and let them know your situation. Pixie dust!

See if you can get some mucinex or the like to help with the congestion.

I just went to Paris and got sick 2 days before we were coming home. I was worried about rupturing an ear drum. At the pharmacy in the airport in Paris, I found the special ear plugs that allow the pressure to change gradually instead of rapidly. They work quite well and made the flight comfortable for me with clogged ears. In the US, they're call "Earplanes" and you can hopefully find them at the airport.

I actually found that the gluhwein (hot mulled wine) in Germany did more for me than the cold medicine I bought at the resort. My throat felt like it'd been attacked by razor blades, but that gluhwein felt so good.

:thumbsup2

Earplanes are amazing :thumbsup2

They usually have them at drugstores here

If you feel bad enough, you could ask the front desk to arrange transport to a local walk-in clinic. They could probably give you a breathing treatment that would at least get you home. Sorry your trip got cut short; hope you feel better soon.

You're not going to feel well flying. And would you want you sitting next to you? That said, there will likely be penalties for delaying a flight, plus extra hotel costs for staying.

If you have another adult with you, send them out to the drugstore for a medical type mask (keep your germs to yourself), some Earplanes, and any otc you might want. If you feel it's warranted (I rarely do) head to Centracare.

Nice. :)

I have friends who swear by blackberry brandy then cuddling up in the warmest blankets they can find and just burning off the cold.

I also agree with getting Earplanes and Sudafed. I flew home once with a sinus infection...it was one of the worst days of my life!

If you think you want to see a doctor, an option is the Doctor on Demand app. You video chat with a doctor and they can prescribe meds for pickup at a local pharmacy if necessary. I feel like the first "visit" was free and they take insurance as well.

So it got bad fast and I couldn’t breathe so I went to urgent care who sent me to celebration hospital. Turns out I’m not sick. I had a massive asthma attack. I didn’t even know I had asthma- never had it before. 3 breathing treatments later and I’m on my way back to Pop century. I am shaking like a crazy person but they said that’s normal. They also said MK and AK are notorious for flairing up asthma

Wow, crazy way to find out you have asthma! Scary, but glad to hear you're on the mend now! Hopefully you'll be up to enjoying the rest of your trip. Safe travels!
