Here now and new system is pretty slick!

Today was our first day using Magic Bands and FP+ and so far I am a pretty big fan. Hit Magic Kingdom at rope drop and had our favorites finished by noon with little to no waits and then headed to Hollywood Studios and used our FP for Toy Story Mania and Tower of Terror. Did the Fantasmic Dinner so had wonderful seats and no stress! Everything has worked wonderfully. It's so nice to not have to go to the old fast pass kiosks and then return again later. No paper tickets to keep track of and no digging park tickets out of bags. I just love it all!

Glad you love it! We were in WDW just a few weeks ago, using Magicbands for our first time as well and we also had a great experience. It was so easy! I loved not having to race to the machines as soon as we got there. I also loved the flexibility of being able to change our FP choices just an hour or so before the window. We did this quite a bit, because for some reason the parks were way less crowded than we expected & we were able to do stand by for some of our FP choices with only a 10-15 min wait.

The other great thing was getting a FP+ for BOG lunch!

We had the same experience last weekend. Everything worked great, but I thought the app was too slow/clunky to be useful in the park.

That is awesome! I cant wait and very excited to use the new system! I am so glad they improved the old system. Hated running across the park for a fastpass, then to later have to come back. Sucked!

We haven't tried FP+ yet (both of our trips last year missed it's rollout) but we are really neutral about it. Doesn't really bother us or excite us one way or the other (we never got all jazzed about old FP either).

Our friends just got back last week (they also go annually) and they LOVED the Magicbands and LOVED FP+....a few days later! they still haven't taken those things off yet.

We will have our turn in August, and I am sure we will have a fabulous time!! Thanks for the review.

Bought myself a battery backup for my iphone for our Oct trip last year just for this reason. Worked like a charm. Allowed me two full charges which was more than I needed to cover me for the day. Didn't have to worry about finding a plug. Was totally worth the $30 I spent on it.

Was there last week as well, found the new system great. Wifi was good throughout the day, we had it in the resort then it would drop off on the bus, but once you got to the main gate it pick right up and my phone stayed connected all day.

I bought one also, just used it to top off our charge while sitting at dinner. I got the one that can charge 2 devices at once.
