arrived on Friday for our fourth stay. The new chair policy where you can't reserve chairs before 8am is terrific. I'm up early anyway and we are picky about our spot so I just get my coffee and sit there until 8 anyway. But you can't have people getting up at 6 to leave stuff in prime spots anymore. They will remove anything left before 8. It's a great policy. Wish more resorts would do it.

So you can sit on the chairs and hold them prior to 8AM, but not just leave stuff before 8AM? Or is the pool area/chair area inaccessible prior to 8AM (we've never been but leave Saturday, so I have no clue if it is even possible for the pool area to be made inaccessible...)?

Wondering the same. Are there CMs actually patrolling the area to remove items and tell people they can't leave things and walk away prior to 8am? Are people loitering until 8am so they can throw their stuff down and head to breakfast?

The chairs are accessible at any hour but the pools are roped off until they reopen.

As long as you are sitting at the chairs you wantbefore 8 it's fine. Just don't leave stuff there and walk away. There are signs Around the pools that tell you not to leave stuff on chairs before 8. And yes there are lots of people sitting in chairs before 8 to hold them if they want a specific location. Still it's much better than before. Right now it is not crowded but this Memorial Day weekend it's going to get busy and stay that way thru the summer.

Also if anyone cares the Four seasons is still not open although they must have some special guests because you can see people sitting in chairs by pool. They are selling rooms as of May 27 so I'm assuming the fence around the property will com e down by then and we will be able to walk over and take a look at the property.

And one more thing...Aulani is now offering a character dinner from 5 to 6 on certain nights at the buffet, the same place you go for breakfast. It features chip and dale and stitch. The breakfast has Minnie, Mickey and goofy.
