We got here Saturday 11/2. Spent one night at the new villas at GF and are spending the rest of our stay at AKL. Lines have not been crazy. Longest waits we've seen in the late afternoons is 90 minutes for big attractions. We've had absolutely no problems with FP+ and have also been able to pull FPs with our cards. Plenty of regular FPs to go around also. Only FPs we've seen run out by early morning is TSM, but thats the norm. We also hit all the booths we wanted at F&W with minimal lines in one afternoon. I just wanted to throw that out there since I was feeling pretty negative about our trip from reading all the horror stories. I rarely post, but I figured this may help someone who's feeling negative about an upcoming trip. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the update and glad it's going good so far. I usually don't subscribe to too much negativity. It's a well known fact that negative things are spoken of much more than positive ones. Plenty of research to back it up. I hate to hear about people's bad experiences, I know I've had my assortment of them over the years. Not just Disney.
Keep having a good trip.

Glad things are going well and you are enjoying your trip. Funny how most horror stories come from the folks who are planning to go and haven't even experienced FP+ or MB's yet "they suck" . I for one can't wait for my trip soon and look forward to the "new" way of visiting the parks. This is the way it's going to be so why not embrace it !! popcorn::

My DD and family just came back from a wonderful trip there also and wondered about all the negative things they had been hearing about on the Dis. They had a very positive experience. I, for one, take most of the negative things I hear with a 'grain of salt'. Most experiences are what we make of them, and we 'get' a lot of what we 'expect'. pixiedust:

Thanks for letting us know. We leave first thing in the morning to fly out and I too was also feeling a little negative from all of those negative posts.

I cannot wait to get there! Enjoy the rest of your stay! :thumbsup2

I'm glad you're trip is going well and it's SO encouraging to hear. THANK YOU so much! It's making me feel much better about being there in 9 days!

People vent their worries here because the non-Disney people in their everyday lives just don't understand. You don't get much relief from venting your worries to someone who doesn't speak your language. Unless it's a dog. Dogs understand all languages.

I got my Magic Bands in the mail today and I am excited to use them. The way I look at it is that a bad day at Disney is still a fantastic day away from home and work!!

I HATE change, but I'm not stressing out about this because I love Disney, regardless.

I've noticed that the wait times have really dropped the last few weeks so I can already see what you're talking about. I so hope that it's just as quiet when we go in December. We are there between Pop Warner and Christmas week so I'm very hopeful!

I don't get it either! :confused3 We just got back from being there a week (10/29-11/4) and had a fantastic time! We did the MNSSHP on the 29th and it was crowded but we were still able to basically walk on POC twice! As well as most of the other rides we wanted. After the last parade the park really emptied out!
The CM's were all polite and friendly. The MB worked great for everything we wanted, room entry, shopping/charging, meals etc... We did F&WF at Epcot one full day on a Wednesday and it was great!! Lines were not that long and we had a great time! Went back on Friday night......O....M....G!!! Way more drunk people than earlier. I would highly recommend doing F&WF on a week night if you want to enjoy the F&W, if you want to party in Disney then go on the weekend. (It was almost like another form of entertainment!! lol) :rotfl2:
We are certainly not the park commando type and don't do lots of rides, but we had a great time and have only positive things to say about MB & the trip in general! :yay:

I think its important to remember a few things like that MB's are still in testing and that glitches most likely will happen. That's why they give you the option of opting out.

It's also important to try to remember that even though you have to drive yourself crazy with FP+ and ADRs that its still a VACATION and if you can leave a decent amount of flexibility to your day that it's really hard not to find something to do and chances are that you will have a great time and be less stressed out!

I was most recently there in August and I was nervous about going during a more populated time (I usually go in the winter during the "slower" times) and I was really surprised that in most cases we were able to do absolutely everything in every park with lots of time to relax and wander a bit. It's all about perspective.

We got here on 11/1 and are staying at the WL, and I agree -- very manageable crowds, FP and FP+ are pretty much just how we expected, and only a couple minor hiccups with the MB's.

My only complaint has been that FP+ for Fantasmic with no reserved seating is a waste of a FP+......but Wishes viewing from the Rose Garden is a great use of one, so that made up for it :-)

Here now too and the MBs have worked great, but I disagree on the crowd levels, we waited 30 mins for Pirates the other day.

Here now (arrived morning of 11/4) and I second this post. Magic bands have been great and the crowds have been really manageable.

I did have a FP+ issue--I tried to change a time on my phone and that FP+ dropped completely from my plans. But it was no big deal. A cast member was standing right there and fixed the issue within three minutes on an ipad. So even with a glitch, I still think it has been great. And to bring it full circle, I have used the phone to make other FP+ changes without any issues, so it is not an ongoing problem. So far, I see no reason to be negative.

When you say you don't understand the negativity, it's because as you say, lines haven't been long and your MB's have worked great! So you had a fab time and that is wonderful for you! :thumbsup2

We tested MB's out twice on two separate trips so far. We also had a fab time on our trips, but not with the MB's. We spent countless hours in line at our resort and at guest services at every single park trying to get my daughter's MB to work on our 13 day trip. It was a very frustrating experience and anything but positive.

On our second trip (and with new MB's) my husband's band never worked. Thankfully it was only a 3 day trip and we didn't spend as much time in the parks so the impact was minimal.

I understand the negativity, but I'm hoping for a more positive MB experience on my next trip. :goodvibes

Agreed! I also arrived on 11/2 and I really love the Magicband/FP+ system. I haven't tried to pull legacy fast passes because I haven't needed to. I think once the kinks are worked out, the system will be an unqualified win for many people.
