Here Now And Boy Is It Crowded!!!

we used to go every october, and it seemed to be busier every year. That's why we're trying November this year, but now they've added free dining and I can't switch any of my adrs, I hope it's not crazy busy then too.

They have added free dining for Nov?? Figures the year we pick to go in October!!:rotfl: I hope it isn't super busy while we are there next week!

We just came back Wednesday..we were there the 1-8 and by the 5th the place was a tiny bit crowded... manageable just a little annoying. Out of all the times I went that was the busiest.

may is still the best time to go,in my opinion :)

we were there the same week. Wed-Sat (1-4) was awesome! Sunday (5) wasn't bad at all, Monday and Tuesday were crowded. Tuesday at Epcot, especially ... compared to what it had been just days prior.

Schools in this area were out last week. We know and saw a lot of people from here at WDW!

Anxious to see how the rest of the week goes....
:confused3

We are holding off for F&W at Epcot till Monday....:thumbsup2 Hope that makes a difference.
Attending MNSSHP on Sunday night...How have the parties been lately???:confused3

OMGoodness, it was crowded this weekend (agreeing with post)

We went Friday to Sunday....

AK on Friday...was ok in the morning, we left by noon to play in the resort pool (port orleans)

MK on Saturday...great at the beginning...even found a paint brush on Tom Sawyer's Island!!! again, left at 1pm ish to get naps (two lil ones with us) and go back later. We went back about 7pm.....streets lined 5 families deep for Spectromagic....the kids got to watch from our shoulders, then went to the front of the castle for Wishes (my fav)...then the scatter drill for different lands. We met up with our friends at Space Mt to find the line 80 minutes long! We decided to call it a night then.

Epcot on Sunday...we slept in, got there about 10:45pm, ...packed.....we did the Living Seas with the kiddos and that was it. The kids were tired from the whole trip so we headed home.

Sorry for the synopsis, but yes...after a few weekends of light crowds, this was a VERY busy weekend. All of the snow birds...hs marching bands and several tour groups added to the holiday weekend.

but as always, we had a magical time :)

Subscribing popcorn:: - we will be there on the 24th - hope the crowds have dissipated by then.

Monday the 6th at MK was insane....The place was packed..it is always busy there on Monday but never have i seen it that crowded. We went at 8 to watch wishes at 9. after the fireworks it cleared out a little bit but was still kind of busy for EMH. The first time in my life I saw a line for Space mountain that was like 30 min wait. I'm used to no waits lol.

We just missed Columbus weekend (flew back Saturday) but spent the past 3 weeks at WDW/Universal. It was very quiet at the start of the trip, and got a bit busier as it got into October, but on the whole the crowds were very manageable with most rides having waits of around 20 minutes. The headliners pulled bigger crowds with average 40 minute waits by the afternoon, but by that time we'd usually ridden them twice anyway.

I can imagine how busy WDW was this weekend though as we were at Universal this Friday and Saturday and it was much busier than I'd seen it before. By the afternoon queues for the big attractions were around 40 minutes, with a 75 minute wait for Ripsaw falls. Thank god we were staying on site and had the express pass.

Overall though I found the first 8 days of October to be manageable, and would return again at this time. And we never found the buses to be crowded except for park closing. We stayed at AKL and several times we had the bus to ourselves, or shared with a handful of other people.

I agree. We were there 10/4-10/12 and found it pretty busy. Seems to get busier every year in October. We go that because it's DD's fall break but lots of other schools are out too. Staurday night you couldn't even walk through MK, it was mobbed. We came in for dinner at Crystal Palace and left shortly after because it was just way too crowded.

Just subbing...we'll be ther next Sunday. Hope its not horribly busy. By the looks of it most schools down south have had their breaks or are having them this week and the northern schools have their breaks the last week. Maybe we'll sneak in between them all. popcorn::

My daughter and I are also doing a quick trip this weekend. 10/17-10/20. We will be at MNSHP Sunday night. I hope the crowds have gone home by then.:)

DH is there right now at BW Inn. He's there for an IT conference which is being held at Swalfin and Yacht Club. There are about 10,000 attendees and I'm sure families have piggybacked trips on to the conference, just as we are! 4 days left!

We have been going to WDW in the October timeframe since our honeymoon in 10/99. We think it has steadily gotten busier since then.

OK so for those who are still there, how are the crowds later today? (10/13). Are they going down and let us know how they are tomorrow. We'll be there in 29 days, but just trying to gauge for my sanity.

we just got back last nite and friday the crowds really started to build - my question is - how does this recent weekend - Fri/ sat - compare with mid June- crowd wise? i can't imagine enjoying it if it was any busier - even the AM buses from AKL were packed - standing room only!

Well we are still here but today we haven't gone into the parks yet. Yesterday (sunday) we went to Hollywood studios and got a fastpass for Toystory at 10:00 am and our fastpass was for 3:20pm. We waited in a 60 minute RNRC line at 11:00 and last night every restaurant and bar on the boardwalk were packed. We are now leaving for Epcot for food and wine, it is 5:00 so I will let everyone know how bad it is. The weather also has been a little iffy. As soon as we went to the pool this afternoon it poured. Oh well we are still in Disney so we are having a great time!!!!:)

We just got back on Saturday night and couldn't believe how busy it was last week! I guess there really is no "slow" time at WDW anymore!

We just got back on Saturday night from a quick trip last week. We had one day passes we were using and went to the MK on Wed Oct 8 and it was starting to get crowded by 9:30am!!

By noon it was so unbearably hot and humid and REALLY crowded my kids wanted to leave. It was the busiest I've ever seen it at MK (we don't go in the summer, only in April, Oct and first part of Dec usually) and we were there last year this time in October.

We attended MNSSHP on Thursday Oct 9 and it was mobbed despite the pouring rain!! Last year, at the MNSSHP we attended on Oct 14, 2007, we had the park to ourselves it seemed. So we got spoiled last year and thought it would be the same this year, nope. Florida public schools had off on Thursday and Friday and then off today too which probably made it for a crazy busy weekend.

I hope that the crowds die down this week so many of you who are going will have a relatively low crowd time. I do think that the quiet times "secret" is out and now those dates have becomes more and more popular. I think Disney needs to build another park LOL!
