Thank you for reminding me to get my Lgmh
. I always intend to attach one and then it never quite happens.

Thank you for reminding me to get my Lgmh. I always intend to attach one and then it never quite happens.
I'm not familiar with this (LGMH). This is the first post I've read that mentions it. Can you give me the 411.![]()
Yes, there are protests going on tonight in the downtown area. There are at least a couple of news helicopters flying over that scene. The second shooting would have been in a neighborhood across the 5 from DL/Tomorrowland, but the DLR area is safely away from the activity.4) The past two mornings we have awoken to news of officer involved shootings in Anaheim with gang members. Checking the map they are both on the north side of 5, but the one last night was more East of DLR. Not liking to hear this while here.![]()
We were there tonight! We also saw all the helicopters circling around the skys over DL/DCA!
Around 7pm we were walking through Carsland and I stopped to watch "DJ" perform right outside of FLO's when police walked by me with dogs towards the front entrance of RSR! I asked my DH (who was on the phone a few feet away from me) if he saw the police and police dogs and he said they said "bomb squad" on their uniforms. THEN we walked over towards the RSR Track and the cars were all stopped all over the track with no passengers in them. What is going on in is country????
I wouldn't worry about that. I used to be a cast member and we were trained to know that ANYTHING could possibly be a bomb. Anything. This includes purses, bags, backpacks, boxes, etc. Whenever we saw an untattended bag, purse, etc., we were ordered to stop the ride and call security and the bomb squad just to make sure everything was ok. Ninety-nine percent of the time, it's a false alarm. Everything is fine, but you never know so you always want to take proper precautions.![]()
I've seen several people with those. They are very cute too! I'm sorry, but I won't wear the big clogs no matter how comfy they are.I have Crocs like this: http://www.crocs.com/crocs-olivia/10335,default,pd.html?cid=66G&cgid=women-footwear-flats that are super comfy (and these are on sale!)
Not sure if I'll bring them since we're going mid-November. But they're very comfy for walking distances.
I haven't checked but I thought I heard they stopped selling Disney paint. Someone a while back posted LGMH you could print out. This is what I used and then I could add my name printed on them. Try a search and maybe you can find them.LGMH = Lime Green Mickey Head
At home depot there are paint samples in Disney colors. You pick up a couple, cut or peel the head very carefully (I usually glue two together) then put your DIS board name on it decorate if you want. You can laminate it too. I will post the one I made for my back pack. I had some made to drop off if I saw any other DISers but I didn't see anyone
I love hearing bits from people who are there! Can't wait to hear about your experience at WoC.
I love my Crocs for all-day walking. I don't really love Crocs, but I love the comfy walking and no pain for the feet.![]()
They're also great because if they get wet... no problem!
Love those purple Crocs! Have them on my Amazon wish List, but they are sold out of the purple, may get the black instead! Love the Dolly and IASW bag. Leaning on getting the makeup bags in 2 different IASW styles. Is that the bag you are carrying in the park?

Just wanted to echo this. If you ever leave your purse or bag somewhere in Disneyland (or DCA or DtD) and it is discovered by a Cast Member, you have just created a project for security and the bomb sniffing dogs. We have seen many a sniffing dog on our various visits to DLR.
We went to Flo's and loved the atmosphere. We ate in the room with the windows overlooking RSR. They had 50's music playing. We both had the beef which was really good but had a few fatty pieces. Overall there was a lot meat so I didn't feel like we didn't get enough. We would definately go back.
Our family ate at Flo's a few times and really liked almost everything we ate for dinner. We thought the portion sizes were really good and hope they don't start skimping down. If you don't mind sweet, give the pork with Coca Cola barbecue sauce a try. It was really tasty! I found a good way to control the sauce was to ask for it on the side.
Don't get the eggs breakfast at Flo's. I have never had such terrible scrambled eggs, and the rest of the plate wasn't all that tasty to me either. DS10 had the eggs and bacon cone from the Cozy Cones and was much more satisfied with his meal.
That sauce sounds good, but pork is not always my favorite. It can be dry and tough sometimes. I was thinking about trying the turkey if we go back. Don't worry, we won't eat breakfast there. We get it free at CCI and that saves us money. Except for Sat we are going to Goofy's.
DH and I did not like the cone meals at the Cozy Cone. We both got the Chicken Verde cone. At first it tastes good but then, that's all there is. The bread cone is bland and flavorless. It could have used some bell peppers or something more in the cone. By the end, we couldn't finish and declaired them "Yucky".Can't say how the chili one was but we are not going to find out.
We did our APEE at DCA today! Got in the park at 7am and went straight to LFT. We walked on. Then we went to TSMM and walked on and we stayed on and went a second time. Then, we went to stand in the FP line for RSR. We found out that people who are in the park early don't have to go line up behind the 7:30 crowd. They are held back. So about 7:40 we got in line and were still way in front of most of the line. When the park opens, they bring the general line up to the early line. After that we had a short wait at ToT. We then got FPs for Screamin and found out it is still disconnected. I thought I read someone said it wasn't but it is. We got a lot done today with our APEE. Tomorrow is ours for DL.
I enjoyed the Bacon Cheddar Pop Cone but didn't try the others. I want to the freezes they have but DD wasn't interested, maybe this trip I'll get one.And I'm hopeful I'll get to try the Dill Pickle Pop Cone too.

Good to know about the chicken verde cones. DS10 liked the breakfast cone, but the non-breakfast cones hadn't sounded that appealing to us anyway, so now I'm even less inclined to try them out.
Sounds like you had a great APEE. Ours worked out well too. I was glad it wasn't like Wednesday when RSR was reported to be down until noon. That was a madhouse. Still got to ride Toy Story fairly quickly twice that morning.
I saw the post about Screamin' too and added my two cents that it is definitely disconnected. We took advantage of that several times earlier in the week.
Early entry at DL was great! We got ten rides done by 9 AM including Peter Pan, Matterhorn twice, Space, Star Tours, Indy, and Thunder. Good thing too as DS12 became suddenly ill around 9:15 AM (terrible, terrible stomach pain, etc.) and stayed unwell until 8 PM. Pretty much confined to First Aid and our hotel room all the rest of the day; some sort of 12 hour bug. He was up and raring to go the next morning though so we really did luck out with our timing.
Oh, so sorry about your son! That's no fun! We had APEE at DL today it was amazing! We walked on or tiny wait for Peter Pan, Pinocchio, Snow White, Toad, SM, ST, Matterhorn, Subs, and IASW. After that we had a 15 wait for Merida and then Tinkerbelle. We came back early for naps but will head out in a few minutes. It is our last day in the parks and we are trying to take it easy now.
Wed, we started at DL too so we didn't try for RSR FPs but found out from our friends there that it was down until noon when she told us their return time was 7:30 even though they got to the machines early.
I'd love to try the popcorn but haven't had the chance.
