Here now- a few comments

Today was our second day. We arrived yesterday and got to the parks around 11am

1) My croc flats are super comfortable and I've been wearing them more than my tennis shoes. I never thought I'd be wearing a non tennis shoe to the parks. And they are super cute on top of that!

2) We tried RSR for the first time today and loved it. We arrived at DCA today (Monday) at 7:30 (no EMH) and got in line for FPs. At 8am the machines opened and we had our FPs by 8:15. Our return time was 11:30.

3) We ended up behind another Disser in the RSR FP line- Skiier Pete, I believe, a WDW vet here for the first time.

4) The past two mornings we have awoken to news of officer involved shootings in Anaheim with gang members. Checking the map they are both on the north side of 5, but the one last night was more East of DLR. Not liking to hear this while here.

Overall having a good time. Tomorrow we try CCR.

I posted this in the July thread a few days before I left. You can see my purple Crocs flats and I also have a few that are light blue. One pair I ordered on Amazon and the other I found at Kohls and used my Kohls cash.

I knew he was a Disser because he had his Lime Green Mickey Head on the back of his backpack.

I just turned the news on, so I hope it was a quiet night.

Glad you are having a great time! There is nothing like finding those perfect DL Park hopping shoes!! The cop shooting is bad news..yikes! I was relieved to hear that you were able to get fastpasses that early!! Yay! That gives me hope!! Have you tried any of the new eateries?

We went to Flo's and loved the atmosphere. We ate in the room with the windows overlooking RSR. They had 50's music playing. We both had the beef which was really good but had a few fatty pieces. Overall there was a lot meat so I didn't feel like we didn't get enough. We would definately go back.

For glow bracelets we always take some and necklaces on the plane with us, packed in our suitcases and have never had a problem. We find them at either the dollar store or Target in their little $1/$2 section. Super cheap too.

Morning, Pink, I hope you have a GREAT time here in SoCAL!!!

I just want to say that the MAYOR of ANAHEIM, CA was on the late News last night and they (officials) are working diligently on this incident from Saturday night to bring peace back to the streets and neighborhoods in Anaheim where the incident happened. I know its upsetting to hear this but crime does happen everywhere. But rest assure Police and City Officials are making this a top priority.

That is a bummer about the shootings. This is why I only like to turn on the WOC/Fireworks channels and the Company clips channels when I go to DL. That way the real world can't intrude on the magic.

I got more concerned with the possibility of protests turning into riots. I've seen the mayor on tv and trust they are looking in to it. I just don't trust a mob mentality. But everything is peaceful on Harbor.

I actually first found out when we were at breakfast in Simi Valley and it was on the tv where people eat. Of course I perked up when I heard Anaheim. I usually don't pay much attention to the new on vacation. And now of course, I want to stay informed.
