Here now 4/28-5/5 lower crowds, longer lines

I'm sorry, I didn't see this until tonight or I would have looked for you. I know they have build a Droid but I don't know about lightsaber.
Thanks for replying. Hoping they still have it! My oldest built one in 2016 and uses it every day. He's planning parts for a new one and my little guy is going to build his own after completing JT.

Actually we went on ST one more time. There was no build your own lightsaber and Tattoine Traders. Sorry. :sad1:
Ok. Thanks for checking! We're better off knowing than be disappointed when we're there. Thanks for saving us from 2 unhappy boys at HS! I'll try to find out if they have it at DS star wars store.

It was Dapper Day at Epcot and also, more and more Cheerleaders are "releasing" into the Parks as their Competitions end.:)

Our experience today was not a positive one with a group of cheerleaders, who literally pushed thru the line, were screaming and then jumped over the rope towards their friends ahead( who were about to board the ride) a CM ran after them, then literally stopped and did absolutely nothing! A group of people behind and ahead of us were all dumbfounded. As we got closer, a Manager
Was standing there ( unknown if he walked up afterwards). We approached him to ask why nothing was done and he acknowledged the behaviors are not acceptable yet did nothing either. Mind you, their boat had not yet left and they started a loud silly chant then quieted down ( not known why).
Regardless, it was more than just annoying, it truly affected our visit.
My dh has several hearing issues and one of the girls literally screamed right next to his ear as she plowed thru. He blanched, and as a result his “screaching ear” throbbed and he wound up with pain so severe that he said it felt like that brain freeze you get.
We had to leave the park and came back to the room/resort.
Such a shame, I gave away our passholder bands for the concert tonight.. :(
anyway .. as we exited I approached a CM who gave me the name of the MGR at the ride and I do intend to drop a note.
I certainly realize that they cannot choose their guests .. but they should not be condoning screaming, line cutting, rope jumping and disruption, ( by allowing them to ride) never mind injurying someone, and she did.
Besides that, our day was actually quite lovely. Beautiful flowers, amazing topiaries, yummy food kiosks, lines were not long and
It’s such a fun park.
A forced quiet nite back at the resort... hoping tomorrow will bring further relief of the symptoms..

I wouldn’t travel out just for that. We were there about ten days ago (Thurs - 4/19 or so?) and although they had the BYO LS display fixture present in the store, both sides had signs indicating they were closed. Maybe someone can shed light on whether my experience was a one-off or a regular status?

We were at Epcot today and really had a great day. We started by rope-dropping TT and then doing our Fast Passes for Mission Space and Living with the Land. Everything else we either walked on (Figment) or never waited more than 30 minutes (Soarin) for. Our third fp was for Frozen right after lunch and then I spent the rest of the day getting more fast passes by refreshing and modifying. I even scored a fp for TT and Soarin around dinner time. Maybe we just got really lucky but it didn't feel overly crowded today at all. We ended up riding every ride in the park and heading back to our resort at 8.

We were just there today and spoke with a CM who said someone forgot to order the hilts(i think thats the word she used). They will be out for awhile until they can get more in. They even had Disneyland ship them some, but they went through all those as well.

Thanks for the update! Hopefully those hilts will be in soon! We still have 2 more weeks....

I was there Saturday night and World Showcase was a madhouse. With the booths setup like Food & Wine plus the concerts, I suspect it does bring in locals.

Sure there are locals as there are always locals on weekends, but Epcot doesn't typically come up in conversation until the Fall

4/28 - 5/5 are our exact dates too. I was also surprised by the wait for Figment yesterday too! We ended up skipping it. We are here at DHS today and I can’t believe how low the crowds are. RnRC 20 minute wait right now. We are used to Columbus Day crowds so this is so enjoyable! We were at MK Sunday and it “felt” crowded though it was only a 3 per Touring Plans. I had a lot of difficulty getting much in the way of additional FP.

At Epcot today and it's the first park to "feel crowded" this week. DHS yesterday and MK Sun felt on the low side of moderate to us.

FWIW.....Dancers start arriving Thursday for this weekend's competition at Coronado Convention Center. Teams are staying at All Star Music and Movies and Coronado Springs. Competition days are Saturday and Sunday with most teams departing Monday.

POOR CSR-Worlds is just now leaving and it takes the Worlds' Resorts a while to "recover"!!!!lol:)

For Sports,it never really fully "recovers"lol!:)

We were at Epcot on Monday as well, and agree. We RD Soarin' then turned around and rode it again basically just a walk on both times. Went over to TT, where our 45 minute wait became 90 minutes because of a tech. problem. Fast passes for Frozen, Mission Space and Crush. Walked on Figment and later got fastpasses for another TT, Spaceship Earth, and Soarin, again. (Love that ride!) Crowds didn't feel bad at all, very happy with our day, Hopefully tomorrow at Animal Kingdom will be the same!

We are here for the same dates (4/28-5/5). So far, it’s been great! A bit hot for me (I usually come in November or January) but crowd wise it’s super manageable with the right FP and ADRs. I’ve been able to grab some great last minutes reservations and fastpasses too. We are thinking of coming back this week next year as well!

Great day at MK today, rode several rides more than once, with FP. I literally start booking them as soon as I pass thru the check in. No 7dmt, for me and standby over an hour when I happened past, so I passed on it. No Peter Pan either but since nothing is make or break ( besides FOP at AK) day was lovely.
My observations from today: park less clean, trash on ground etc..no rides down for us :).
Many CMs are not engaged with guests and give curt one word answers ( but not Marisol, at Harbor House who was so pleasant and knowledgeable. Great asset to Disney)
Crowds were fine, tried Horseshoe Saloon (okay but not great; I’d try elsewhere next time) , they need more charging stations and stations that actually work.., reduced water pressure in bathrooms and Where did the mirrors go, lol!
Another nice day.

So jealous of these low crowds... we are going in 12 days and I'm hoping things stay the same, but probably won't.

I think it will. This is lower crowds than we saw the same week either of the last two trips which were the same week in May. Given that crowds have been higher than expected so far this year, my theory is that people delayed their trips for the TSL opening when it was rumored to be Memorial Day Weekend. I can't think of another reason why this year would be noticably lower crowds.

TSL makes total sense... I hope it's true.. I would love to see low crowds this trip and hit TSL the next trip.

We're going 16th thru the 22....The only events taking place is the 18/19 special olympics. The cheer competitions are over and the soccer tourament doesn't start until the following week - I think we're good.

EPCOT might be busy on the weekends but other than that, I think we picked a good time.
