Thanks to everyone that posts on this board for all of the help in planning. If anyone has any specific questions feel free to email me. Kim

Thur., 9/27 Arrived in Orlando around 9 p.m.. Flight was almost completely full!! picked up rental at Emerald Aisle, or what we thought was EA! Appearently the very first row was all that EA consisted of and there was not much to chose from. So, not knowing that the rest weren't on EA we proceeded to pick out very nice TrailBlazer. When we went to leave the gentleman explained that this car wasn't on EA, made a phone call, and told us it would be o.k. to take it as one from EA. Arrived at HRH around 10 p.m. very quick check in. Then girl helping us was extremely friendly so I asked in a half-joking manner if we could have an upgrade since the hotel was not full. She said to give her a minute to check and what do you know, she was able to!! I had prepaid for a pool view @ $129 and got a Deluxe pool view. Room was awesome. LONG walk to the elevators, tho. Room # 5134.

Fri. 9/28 Up at 7 a.m. to go to IOA. Was great just walking right over. Park was pretty empty. FOTL was not really necessary, but we used it a few times just because we could. Lunch at Comic Strip Cafe. Pleasantly surprised at, and happy with the quality of food. Hulk was incredible!! I screamed the entire ride. Dueling Dragons was great also. 2 DSs really enjoyed this park. Left around 6 p.m. Carried in Pizza Hut for dinner.

Sat. 9/29 Up at 7. Checked out of HRH. Left luggage in rental on HRH parking lot. Walked over to USF. Again, no real lines. We all loved MIB. Had a great time at this park also. Had lunch at Italian place across from BeetleJuice. Meatball sub was very good. Left around 5 p.m. to go check into AS Sp. In requests all I asked for was non-smoking and quiet. We got room # 6305 in Surfs Up. Great location. Overlooked main pool. Everything was quite convienent. Bought refillable mugs, $8.99 each, and dinner from food court. Food was satisfactory, DS was able to get turkey w/ potatoes & gravy!! I mailed a package with goody bags from Mickey to myself there. Picked it up at front desk while kids were swimming, went back to room, set it all up & rejoined them at the pool. They were thrilled to see the bags of trinkets & couldn't believe Mickey did such things!!

Sun. 9/30 Up at 6 for MK. Rode Space Mountain 2 times, Buzz Lightyear, once & speedway once before 10 a.m.. Then worked our way over to Tour Garden for Family Magic Tour at 11:30. The tour was a blast! Our guide was Brad. There were 3 kids, my 2 DS and a 3 yo girl. We parents weren't forced to participate but did to a certain degree. It was a riot seeing the 4 of them crawling thru Cosmic Rays Starlight Cafe and shouting at the lounge lizard!!! At the end ot the tour Belle took the group to ride Alladins Magic Carpet. It was around $75 for this tour, but I feel it was worth it. DSs rated it a 9 & a 10. Dinner at Unos in Cross Roads Shopping Center.

Mon. 10/1 Went to Kennedy Space Center. DSs enjoyed it. $25 for adult, $18(?) for child. place was pretty empty also. Headed back around 2 p.m. Swam at AS Sp & did some laundry. $2 to wash & $2 for 30 minute dry. HoopDeeDoo at 7:15. DSs whined & complained that they did not want to go to this from the moment they found out we were going. When the show started they were thrilled!! They asked if we could go again on Wednesday!!

Tues. 10/2 Up at 6. had a PS for breakfast at Donalds for 7:30. We were the 2nd in line =( so sad! we tried so hard to be first. All I can figure is the couple that was first took a bus over, because we were 2nd in line waiting for the parking lot to open at 7 a.m.! Keep that in mind. Still we had a good time in there. Stayed in AK afterwards. Did Dinosaur, ITTBAB, and Safari with no line. Saw Tarzan Rocks. Got out ponchos for KRR and stayed dry. Enjoyed the rides in AK, but will only visit again if have nothing else to do. Left around 2. Checked into WL. I requested non smoking & 1st floor, even tho I had a standard room ressie that was already prepaid. I got the 1st floor! It was wonderful!! We had bunk beds and a queen size bed. Walked right out the sliding door to pool. Laundry & snack bar were right around the corner. Refillable mugs were $9.99 each. Went to 5:15 Luau. DSs had a good time. They really wanted to do the Luau because they had seen it on the Brady Bunch!!LOL!! : )

Wed. 10/3 Up at 6 for MGM EE. DS enjoyed RNR, too jerky for me. Loved ToT. Did WWTBAM once. I got 108,??? and was in 4th place!! Had PS for Prime Time Cafe @ 11. Shakes were $5 but were enough to fill the glass twice. DH got a bib put on him. Boys thought it funny to see us getting harassed. I thought the giant hat looked great as you walk in. Left park around 4 to go for a swim & returned around 6:45 for Fantasmic. I was kind of disappointed in it. Having only read the description in the brochure I expected more Mickey. I didn't like that so many different chracters & their stories were in it. The place was packed, tho. Caught part of EWP.

Thur 10/4 Up at 7. Cancelled Pirate Cruise for today. DSs really wanted to go back to IOA & USF!! they wanted thrill rides. Did only the rides we wanted to hit and was back at WL by 5 p.m. PS for WCC at 6:30. 8 yo DS said he didn't want to go in there because he had seen them twirling their napkins in the air and hollaring when he walked by one night!! Saw several people ask for ketchup. Waiter made a mistake & brought DS fries instead of fresh fruit cup. DS promptly reminder him he wanted fruit. After waiter walked away DS said. "I'm not asking for ketchup!" They held the Pony Express Ride while we were in there. Both boys participated. They had a good time in there. Caught EWP again.

Fri. 10/5 Up at 6! EE @ Epcot. Rode Test Track3 times. that was our first time. LOVED it! DSs liked Innoventios East better than west. Did Spaceship earth, U of E, (DS found it really boring), Imagination, (we didn't feel this new version was worth seeing!), and The Land, had lunch there and did boat tour. DSs were ready to go until I told them about getting a passport & getting it stamped. So, we bought them & headed back to WS around 2:30. made masks & stopped at all countries to bet stamps. Disney could realy do something to improve this area. Even with business down there were 10 kids at each stop with 1 CM doing the stamping & writing. At each 1 I tried to help the CM by cutting ribbon, stamping or whatever I could do for them, they were all appreciative of the help. Didn't see ToD, but would have liked to. Left Epcot around 7:30. Went to McDonalds near AS Sp for dinner. DSs ate more there than any where during trip!! Back to WL for pool time!

Sat. 10/6 Slept in until 8!!!!! DSs swam until 9:30 while DH & I packed. had to go to WalMart to buy another bag!! hit DD & bought more stuff! wanted to make sure that new bag was full! Ate at Olive Garden @ 4 p.m. then headed for the airport for 7:30 flight.

Overall, we had a really great time. We spent alot of time lost, trying to find our way off property. National said we put 500 miles on rental. 400 of those were circling!LOL. rental was $205 for 9 days. used DC and internet special.

We wore our GOH badges and very few CMs said anything or called us by name. slightly disappointed.

I forgot to ask to be Flag Family until Thursday and then it was to late. : (

Left Mousekeeping $5 each day. Nothing special from HRH or AS Sp, but Cora at WL took GREAT care of us. As I was leaving to go to WalMart she stopped me in the hall & said, "I want to thank you for the gifts you have left me, that was very nice of you." I told her she was very welcome and that I appreciated all she did for us, which was nothing spectacular but just little touches like picking up all of the change we left lying around & putting it in a glass each day. We put all of our toothbrushes into a glass & she wrapped it in a washcloth & put a smiley face on it with stickers, she folded kids pjs that were left on bed. like I said nothing huge, just really considerate.

UrsulaFan,

That was a great report. One question though, what is "Flag Family" and how do you ask to be it? Which park is it at?

Flag Family is a family that gets to go on the roof to raise and lower the American Flag at the Wilderness Lodge. They take volunteer families to do it. i hear the view is incredible up there plus i wanted pix of my Cub Scouts in uniform doing it. Maybe next time!
