So here are my reservations so far!

May 15th (Arrival Day), Dinner reservation at Garden Grove 6:10pm

May 16th (Animal Kingdom), Dinner at Whispering Canyon 7:25pm

May 17th (Magic Kingdom), Breakfast Crystal Palace 8:15am

May 18th (Epcot), Breakfast 1900 Park Fare 8:30am

May 19th (Disney Studios), Lunch 50s Prime Time 12:35pm

May 20th (Departure)

I know there are *fancier* restaurants but with 3 kiddos, 8 years, 2years, and 1year, we were really just looking for the *fun* restaurants! :)
I'm afraid to make more than 1 reservation for any given day, I'm thinking it would be hard to stick to a really strict schedule. What do you guys think? Should I add another dinner or lunch reservation somewhere? Or just do counter service for everything else?
Something I'm missing that I really need to see/eat?? LOL (BTW I am checking for CRT every day, but am not holding out too much hope for that!)

Is the Garden Grove the Garden Grill, the rotating restaurant in Epcot? or is this the place at the Swan/Dolphin?

Other places to consider: Coral Reef in Epcot, fun for the kids and a nice meal for you too. H&V Playhouse Disney meal, esp. for your preschoolers(maybe in place of 50's if you can only do one DHS meal). The ultimate FUN restaurant is Chef Mickey's, hopefully you can find an ADR, perhaps on your departure day?

I have not been to WCC and it does not appeal to me, but it would be nice if others would chime in as to whether your really little ones would fare well there. My gut says there are better places for them, but I don't really KNOW so I'll just SHUT UP on this one.

Congrats on putting together such a nice treat for your family. Those are some lucky children!

The Garden Grove is the one in the Swan with Goofy and Pluto. Is H&V good/fun? I really haven't seen a lot about it. Breakfast lunch or dinner?

Yeah I really wanted Chef Mickeys for our first night but they didn't have anything available until 9:10pm which is way too late for us on our night before heading to the parks. (Which is why I booked Garden Grove instead.) I could definitely try for a breakfast or lunch on our last day though! Good idea.

If you can't get Chef Mickey's, you might try Cape May Cafe. Minnie, Goofy and Chip and Dale are there in their bathing suit attire. We are not fond of H&V--although we've never done the breakfast/lunch character meal. We have done dinner twice and it is one of two Disney restaurants we will never eat at again.

Hope you're able to fit in Chef Mickey's, keep trying!

Everything I've read on Playhouse Disney is really positive. The food is fine to good, but the character interaction and how the little ones light up and shake their bootys seems to be priceless! We had an ADR last year, but canceled; just too full to do another buffet that morning. I'm looking forward to taking our 6yo there. We went to a PHD dance party during MGM EMH last year and he had an absolute blast. We only did one character meal, Chef Mickey's breakfast and it was his favorite. This time we'll do PHD, Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's dinner. Truth be told I loved Chef Mickey's too. :guilty:

We went to H&V for breakfast and enjoyed it. It had the regular breakfast food. We had two two year olds and a 6 year old. They loved seeing JoJo and Little Einsteins. We enjoyed it and so did they. The food is regular food (they like the waffles!lol)...but the kids loved the characters so that's what made it so fun for us.
