There has been a lot of speculation on the boards about where the four Disney ships will sail once the two new ships come out in 2011 and 2012.

The thought occurred to me that Disney might not ever reach 4 ships. What if they sold off the Magic and/or the Wonder??? I know, I hate to think about it. But what if??

The Magic and the Wonder are both getting older. I know that they are kept in good shape. But, maybe they want to get some value out of a resale before they loose too much value. The new ships will be bigger, so capacity would still increase even if they sell off the originals. This would let them keep charging a premium by limiting the supply of DCL cruises.

What do you think???

I think the restrictive covenants in my neighborhood wouldn't likely allow me to keep the Wonder or the Magic even if Disney would sell... That'd surely be a big trailer!

didn't both just go though major upgrades while in dry dock?

Yeah, but it will be 4 years from drydock until the new ship comes out. They are required to do drydock twice every five years, so they would likely go into drydock again. A ship can get a lot of wear and tear in four years.

I don't know.... I'm just thinking....
