What the heck is wrong with working in the movie theatre? That sounds like a fun job, and it would mean free movies for both you and your husband. Did you ask him why specifically he didn't want you working there? If it boils down to he doesn't want you working holidays, would he prefer you be miserable in your job now and NOT work holidays? Or have a job that you like where you have to work the ocassional holiday?

I hope you guys are able to work it out. You sounded so excited in your OP, I'm sorry to hear it did not go as you planned.

Ooops, sorry, I replied without fully reading all the posts. I see where you've worked it out.

I still think its better to work holidays at a job that you like rather than not work them and be miserable.

I definately agree. I don't want you to think I was trying to talk you out of it in my earlier post! It's really a great job. And free movies are definitely a bonus!
